LOSS OF COMPLETE AND TOTAL ERECTIONS AFTER CIRCUMCISION PROCEDURE CARRIED OUT 14 MONTHS AGO.

In January 2023, I had two procedures (1) circumcision (2) check the blockage unable to ejaculate. The reason I had both procedures, was frightened by the Urologist that I might develop a cancer with tight foreskin. I never had any such pain, never complained to my Doctor. Both procedures were botched up, leaving me in traumatised state, unable to touch my penis, no energy left for any erections and painful. After some 14 months have continued to suffer from hypersensitivity, complete & loss of erections. Nothing helps, tried all known gadgets, such as vacuum pump, caverjet injections, Viagra etc. almost everything. My local GPs are completely lost. I am perfectly healthy, no underlying medical conditions.

Can anyone please throw any light to resolve unthinkable and unimaginable state I have been left?

All the Lab results after both procedures were carried out were negative. I only take Nilemdo 180mg Bempedoic Acid 1 tablet a day, was on Indapamide 1.5mg, taken off, my BP is all normal. I was even informed that one of side effects for Indapamide creates and increases ED.

Wish it was possible, when 4 different GPs + 2 different Urologists unable to pinpoint to find the exact cause, but all of them are lost. Finally was referred to the Neurologist, also failed to find the cause just in case the nerve damaged. During my extensive search online found the following: This happens because the damages nerve endings no longer send signals, essentially causing atrophy. The nerves in the foreskin apparently provide an impulse to aid erection.

I am really sorry to hear this. Do you think it was the circumcision that caused the problems with having an errection or was it the procedure to do with the blockage? If you can pin point what may have caused you to have a complete loss of errections/ hypersensitivity may be a start to try identify. I had my circumcision done around 3 months ago due to phimosis and still have sensitive glans which I thought would have improved by now. I also get some nerve pain after I pee.

Hi Manlove2 Thank you for your kind message. I was some 75% active before both procedures were carried out, now 100% inactive, completely and totally grounded, there is absolutely no activity in my penis, no flow of blood to maintain the erections, dead as stone. Though, I was unable to ejaculate, but still able to have erections most of the time. To be honest with you, I do not know if it is circumcision or the blockage, but I personally think it is the circumcision, no erections for the past 14 months . Unfortunately Doctors cannot even pinpoint or identify the cause of loss complete and total erections. I had never ever complained to my GP any pain with tight foreskin, but was frightened will develop cancer, hence ended up with this procedures, lab results all negative.

Thats unfortunate doctors are not able to pin point the cause of loss of erections. I also only decided to get circumcision done as GP suggested it was the only way I would be able to resolve my foreskin issue even though l had no real problems. I do think there can be complications with circumcision as alot of nerve endings are cut from our foreskin. I hope activity returns to your penis. Maybe there could be some physio or exercise you could try?

Unfortunately, nothing has worked. As it is, I am now completely and totally grounded for the past 14 months. Wish never had these procedures .

Are you able to go back to the same urologist who recommended the circumcision and complain? Surely they should have made you aware of the risks I.e. being totally grounded loss of errections, as if you had known you would never have gone through the procedure. It may stop them giving wrong advice to people in the future that have tight foreskin. Has your sensitivity improved over the past year

Hi Unfortunately, the answer is no, as cannot discuss much, as it is following its path. It is not only being grounded totally and completely, but when I touch my penis, no feelings left, as if it does not exist, also very dry skin, never had this kind of issue before the procedure. At no time was I explained that there are some serious risks, will be grounded. Frankly, I regret it very much, 14 months is a long time for any recovery.

You appear to have been badly let down by “the system”. Are you being offered any mental health support?

Hi Xsevnx, Yes, I am, nothing is helping, just devastated and in shocking state, life has been ruined.

Hi Moon007… I am so sorry you are having these issues and sounds like you may have gotten bad advice and/or less than perfect medical care. Keep in mind I am not a doctor, but I always try to look at the positive in every seemingly bad situation—I know it’s not easy right away but as I have gotten older it seems wisdom is a nice consolation prize for having gone through the bad. Perhaps the next time you need a procedure you will seek a second opinion so you can make a decision with more information—and it’s great that you are here letting others know the perils you’ve experienced, which hopefully gives you some satisfaction for helping others. But please read on, if you will.

I not sure of your age but I turned 69 earlier this year and am grateful for all of my life lessons that somehow got me here. I recently replied to someone else in this forum regarding a pelvic pain and sexual dysfunction without prescriptions or doctors which might also be helpful for you:

If you have not tried Myofascial Release you should look into it. It’s a very gentle stretching of the connective tissues in your body. My therapist stretches my psoas muscles/hip flexors to loosen my otherwise tight pelvic floor to open up the pleasurable sensations and repair the painful ones. Sex afterwords is amazing, I have had issues with pain and numbness and by loosening the pelvic floor it’s like going back in time when things worked the way they were supposed to—even better, I would say. There are probably exercises you can do on your own but I enjoy being worked on. Anyway, don’t give up

Now, keep in mind I still have my foreskin even though I went through a period of time wishing I could look like all the other boys when I was growing up—until a doctor mentor asked if I would like to watch him do a circumcision. After I asked where the anesthesia was, he promised me the little newborn wouldn't feel a thing. But I nearly fainted when that little fella uttered a blood-curdling scream that seemed pretty convincing proof the doctor was mistaken. I’m sure they have changed a few things since then (hopefully) but it was enough for me to silently thank my parents for leaving me intact. I’d like to think that’s why I didn’t become a doctor but it was flunking zoology in premed that kind of made that decision for me.

Best wishes to you and I hope you will have some positive results to share with us soon.
