Hey, is it true that the body absorbs stitches meaning that I don't have to go back to my doctor to remove them?

Hi , firstly most of the times circumcision involves absorbable sutures . They either fall off or get absorbed by the body so you don't have to worry . But , this must be confirmed by your doc as some times the doc might have preferred to use non adsorbable although rare . Please confirm with your doc as he knows best . Hope this helps ! Also in very rare cases where even absorbable sutures can persist beyond 6 Weeks you might have to get them removed by your doc which will be pretty much painless.

You should have had post-op care instructions from your surgeon.
