Diagnosed with prostate cancer about 7 yrs ago. Did not have it removed. Sexual ability has steadily declined. I know age (75) has something to do with but I'd like to find an alternative to finesteride, which I believe is causing the problem.
I'm also taking Losartin for high blood pressure which keeps me at about 130/70. However, not sure I can take viagra, etc safely.
Given your health situation, have you discussed this issue with your doctor?
Hi 75, the Finasteride and the BP meds can both effect you sexually. They did me. And your age to a point. I opted for surgery to open up the urethra. It too had its problems, but after a year they were pretty well resolved. My doc put me on Levitra then switch to Cialis due to cost. The Cialis works very nicely. I also regrew my foreskin, and that my a huge difference. There should be no reason you shouldn't be able to get back to a better sex life. Just keep pushing your doctor.
