Underside wound

Im on day 17 and the underside of my penis still hasn’t healed..still a bit painful at times and raw..is this normal?

So long as the wound is Clean, have you taken any painkillers for the pain,

its clean and i wash it 3 times everyday..i stopped taking painkillers after a week or so..it isnt that painful ..just a small sting at times

Not to sound Crude at all, but let the air get to it that may dry as a simple cut does, but if your not happy give your Family Clinic a ring in morning, take care

You are still early in the healing process. Keep it clean and, if you are worried about it, have a consultation with your doctor. As Zappa61 says, painkillers might help.

The frenulum area is usually the last to fully heal. Full healing of an adult circumcision usually take 6-8 weeks, so you are less than half way into it. Give it time.

The frenulum cut took longer to heal for me than the rest of the incision. You’ll be fine.

did you do anything to make it heal faster or you just let it be?

Truthfully there are many more nerve endings in that area than on the top side, and if the doctor cut deeper to thoroughly remove your frenulum those nerves take longer to heal. Everyone on many blogs concerning adult circumcision reported the frenulum area is the last to heal. It takes time.

Hey, I am on day 14 and the underside is still raw like you described. Painless, but a small drop of blood and yellow liquid would appear on gauze in the morning. Is this normal?

The raw part seems to be doing better but the recovery is far slower than the rest. Wondering if you bath or still trying to keep water away from contacting the underside wound?
