Open wound after day 10

Hello friends.

I have noticed that few stitches dissolved and the underneath wound looks open. When I had stitches, the cut line was completely closed.

Is that normal during the healing process. I am bit worried as the wound area looks bigger now.

It can happen. That part of wound will heal by secondary intention.

Remember you can always support wound edges not to open more by using strips of medical skin tape (like 'Micropore) or more expensive 'Steri-Strip'. Apply some petroleum jelly on to wound first. Tape won't stuck in wound discharge then.

hey krishna1212, my stitches opened too with no blood. I am still putting some ointment over it. did you put some strips on yours? how was it now?

I tried. But no luck. It came out once the area gets more moist. But not really required mate. It will close in two weeks
