Will This Ever Heal?

So I have been dealing with an issue for over 6 months now. The head of my penis is inflamed looking and it hurts to peel the foreskin back. I've used lotrimin, and I've tried coconut oil (antifungal), and I've taken flucanazole medication and nothing has helped. I even tried going on an intense candida diet which eliminated all potentially inflammation inducing foods. I've tried to get circumcised before but my health insurance didn't cover it so it was too expensive.

I know the lotrimin box says not to use for more than two weeks, but I've been using it for several months. I feel like it's better than doing nothing.

If I don't use anything to treat my penis it doesn't get better and just feels dry and painful. However, I'm worried that by using a cream all the time I'm suffocating it or if there's an infection, It's building up an immunity.

I've been to several doctors, from planned parenthood and free clinics, to a really good doctor that I was able to see when my dad had a short lived job with good insurance. They've all said that it didn't look serious and that it would clear up, and it never has.

I seriously am starting to think that it will never go away.

For reference I am 21, any advice is deeply, deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi. Im also 21 and have been dealing with tight foreskin since i was 13. Always had difficulty retracting the foreskin due to phimosis. Got an inflammation once because of a small tear of the foreskin on the frenulum area. Healed by itself though. Tackled phimosis problem with circumcision. Still in recovery from it, since i got surgery 8 days ago. Anyways, seems like your foreskin might be irritating your penis. Not entirely sure.

You need a proper examination by an urologist or a dermatologist to determine what is going on. We cannot diagnose and your cannot risk relying on guesses.

Don't give up.how depressing to have this at 21. Balanitis? Lichen plannus. If it's fungal than clotrimazole will help. Sometimes this can be a sign of diabetes. Lichen plannus is an autoimmune disorder. I had it for years off and on. Dr.s did nothing. Finally this Dr. I met in jail suggested. Immunical, it is what he suggested to all his patients with mystery hard to treat stuff like this. So I tried it. Improved immediately for the first time in years.gone in 3 months.. glutathione us the magic ingredient u can try liposomal glutathione or immunical. Either one will probably do the trick

Hi, was facing similar issue (24yo). Had this problem since I first had erection. Inflammation was not going away for me too so I had to get a circumcision done 4 days back. Still healing. Waiting for the biopsy and hoping that it's not lichen planus or anything autoimmune.
