Anti-erection medication for circumcision - how is the effectiveness?

I was wondering for those that had circumcision if they were prescribed medication to help prevent erections and whether it worked for them or not.

My doctor prescribed valium/diazepam 10mg, to be taken (one tablet) twice a day.

I just take it at night hoping it to help against nightime erections, since daytime I don't have issues. But it didn't seem to help.

Read online such medications weren't originally meant for this use case, more like a side effect and thus may not be effective.

So just wanted to see what others experiences were or if you were prescribed different medication for this purpose.

i was prescribed gadrenal to avoid and nocturnal erections and to make me have a deep sleep but from the first day itself it hasnt really helped me much..im tired of the painful erections in the morning

Thanks for the feedback. Well that's what the Dr. prescribed. I'm from the USA, so I guess it may be ok to use there. I assume it's the muscle spasm aspect & maybe sedative property to aid in erection control, though it didn't help me.

even if he had prescribed another one that is commonly used, it’s not very effective I’m afraid, I find seating and staring at it praying it stops to be the most effective lol
