So I had a thought or rather experience that made me question the benefit for feeling.
Currently uncut, the condom for me glides with the foreskin movement. While not as good as skin on skin obviously the feeling is reduced by adding a barrier. Mark Gungor did a hilarious marriage seminar called "the tale of two brains" in which his quote still sticks out to me. He likens using a condom as one who eats their favorute ice cream covered by a sock lol. [Said in context to a committed marriage and not being risky or promiscuous]
Anyway managing expectations, do people feel as dull as I can imagine with a condom when they compare their pre and post cut penis?
The goal for me is to get a vasectomy in a few years so I am sure things will change when condoms are only used to mitigate the mess 😅
So I guess because I'll get a vasectomy, I'm sure skin on skin (No condom) regardless of cut or not cut will be as people prefer.
However I perceive a dull factor largely because the gland can't feel the walls of the vagina if circumcised having a static head. However if intact, the glans thrusting within the foreskin and condom has a far less a dulling effect.
I just see different contexts to condoms being better for the uncircumcised rather than circumcised if making comparison before and after.
For myself, I wouldn't want to turn a jog in the part into a desert marathon, just to climax if I were to use a condom after circumcision. But, the goal is to be skin on skin obviously once I get the snip and after circumcision.
Just don't want to be thrusting for significantly more time, just to try climax with a condom.
I guess I'm sounding out what people's own experience is with or without condoms who are also circumcised. Anyone who is circumcised (Even as a child) who also uses condoms are welcome to add here.
Cut penises stink after three days too. Your concern about sensitivity probably outweighs the issues while camping. The majority of those cut as adults express very noticeable loss. There's no way to predict which group you'll be in.
I would imagine the condition and cleanliness after 3 days hiking would surely differ between one who is cut and uncut? But 3 days many things start to smell of course. It just seems others I've read comments of people who have been relieved having a relatively dry glans on this point alone.
I don't mind a bit of sensitivity loss, but the judgement of how much if significant may be determined by the kind of cut and how much of the more sensitive skin is retained. As you say no way to tell for sure.
Comments above also have indicated no perceived loss of sensitivity.
But the context of my original question is mainly around the use of condoms. Just curious I guess.
I got circumcised 6 months ago. Sex does not feel dull at all for me. My opinion is that if you are worried about loss of sensation from a circumcision, then 1. Don’t take the risk of having one if you can help it. Or 2. If you want one just because or for medical reasons, choose a circumcision style that allows you to retain all or most of your sensitive inner foreskin ie. a “high and tight” style. A “low” circumcision places the scar close to the head and the doctor removes more of the sensitive inner foreskin and you retain more shaft skin on the penis. Shaft skin has no nerve endings. Condoms suck in general whether your are circumcised or uncircumcised. It’s a barrier between your penis and the skin of your partner....
Yea condoms are only used in our case to mitigate the end cleaning process. I plan to rid of condoms long term, once the vasectomy process is done down the path of course.
I was under the impression that after a vasectomy you still ejaculate when you climax, the ejaculate just doesn't have any actual sperm in it. You will still have a mess to clean up ha-ha
It seems from comments on this wider forum, the best retention to feeling is to go for a high cut (further away from glans), retaining a fair amount of inner skin, and regarding the frenelum, keep it where possible.
These are of course generalities and not everyone will agree.
