Finally met with the surgeon last Saturday. The procedure has been undertaken, I am now fully circumcised.
I’m on day 3 of recovery, not one single painkiller taken, no pain what so ever!
Just feel a little bruised and swollen. Still wrapped in a tight dressing.
For all those that are contemplating circumcision or need it doing and are worried of how painful it might be, then they needn’t worry at all.
Dr Khan was fantastic, put my mind at complete ease, explained everything before hand, explained things whilst doing the procedure. The staff were great. It was perfect! Far less traumatic than I ever thought. The only thing I felt was the first couple of injections to numb me, they didn’t hurt either, just like when giving blood, no problem.
Glue was used, only 1 stitch put into me, that’s it now, just got to eat healthily, rest a little, keep a little bit active, like walking etc. And most importantly, follow Dr Khan’s recovery information.

I had the Frenuloplasty on the NHS last year, is was all positive, looked after me, gave me a cup of tea & a biscuit too.
A lot of waiting around, and afterwards you are sent home with an aftercare leaflet.
So all in all, NHS are 👍🏼.
They were eventually going to do the circumcision probably this year but I had researched the procedure they do, style etc and thought I’d rather go private, somebody who is highly recommended, somebody who is also teaching NHS surgeons in this new procedure. I would also want a little input on the outcome style too, so Dr Khan was the only one I’d be going too.
He was perfect.
Still bandaged up so haven’t seen myself yet.

I think you made a good choice. NHS usually only does it low and tight but my opinion is that high and moderate is better. Congrats man.

One more time. Phimosis leaves the surgeon little choice with regard to where the cut line is placed and therefore invariably low. Most patients are pleased with the outcome and the fact their problem is cured.
Phimosis doesn't inevitably mean one gets a 'low' cut. The critical thing is to remove the so-called 'ridged band' - ie the very tip of the foreskin which is usually where all the tightness is. How much more of the inner skin and how much outer skin to remove are then usually choosable to give high or low and loose or tight finish.
But if the foreskin cannot be retracted there’s only one method available to the surgeon and that results in a low cut.
I have never seen the NHS describe circumcision as dangerous. As with any surgery, it is always the last resort.
All surgery carries risks!!
They are only risks and a surgeon is obliged to be honest about them to enable you to give informed consent. As to death, that is a possibility in most surgeries - infection, blood loss or the effects of anaesthesia - particularly a general anaesthetic.
The biggest risk with an adult circumcision comes when general anaesthesia is used instead of a local. The anaesthetic risk is then around 100 times that of the surgery itself.

You see, I hadn't lied to you Dr Khan is an excellent surgeon, an artist of circumcision and he really puts in confidence by explaining everything. We can ask him all our questions and know exactly what result we will have before starting surgery.

We do not know exactly how things will turn out as a large part of the healing process is down to our own bodies. I do wish that, in your keenness for Cutornot1 to be circumcised, you would stop making all sound wonderful.
do not be afraid of death. there are no large arteries in the foreskin to lose all your blood. There may be an infection, in which case you will need to take an antibiotic. The result can be ugly if you heal poorly...
Listen to Osidge. The point is not that you can die from circumcision specifically, it’s that all surgeries carry risk, regardless of the body part. Examples include Allergies to anaesthetics or medications, potential infections, severe changes in blood pressure or cardiac events etc, to name a few. The primary one being the potential of infection at any site of the body. The risk may not be HIGH, but It’s the doctor’s legal responsibility to notify you of those risks. You and your doctor those risks against your personal and family history; for instance, if you’re a hemophiliac, don’t get circumcised!
Not always the scar can remain very visible and if too much skin has been removed it is definitive. I have never seen a circumcision missed with surgeons like Dr Khan, I have searched everywhere on the Internet including on the French circumcision forum.
yes because it draws on your penis where it will cut and validate with the patient if it corresponds to his expectations and he always leaves enough foreskin for a painless erection. With surgical glue there is less risk of infection.
He doesn’t spend ages discussing it.
You have an idea in your head of what you might like, you’ll tell him. He’ll look and examine you. He’ll then draw on you where he thinks it’s best to cut, while considering your body, size, shape etc.
But like me during the procedure he decided to slightly adjust the cut, a little higher I think. But, he did ask me first before he did anything.
So yes, he will discuss it with you before hand.
He was very good, very neat, and most importantly, very professional and I felt completely happy with his recommendations.
He is an absolute expert in circumcisions. Maybe one day all NHS procedures will be performed like Dr Khan’s. I think he also teaches surgeons in his technique.
I had a needle. It was completely fine. I little prick or two (sorry, haha) and that was all it took. Didn’t feel any pain at all. I just felt him moving around down there, couldn’t tell what though. So no big deal.
I had general anesthesia and I don’t remember a thing. I recall chatting with the surgeon before and the anesthesiologist and then all of a sudden I was waking up in recovery. I was very nervous before and my doc said I could take some anxiety meds the day of the help relax. I’m very glad I had full anesthesia it was over before I even knew it!

He’s that good, he’s that gentle, he’s so reassuring. Also his assistant was great. Nice young guy, very calming. We talked about all sorts while I was having it done, NHS, Caronavirus, travel. I was totally relaxed. I even travelled down there myself in the car & drive back up the M1 afterwards.
The more you think about, the more you worry, the more anxious you become.
Hey Man, I'd keep it covered until your wounds have healed especially if at work are going out if you're just at home you can leave it out to air. it's the same having a bath not until your wound is healed. I did have a showers everyday day and also used salted water to wash and disinfect my penis I used a small bowl for this.
Yes. Went to the local chemist to get meds (cream) and drove home by myself.
How you heal will, in part, be down to the surgeon. For the most part we each have different healing results in terms of time and appearance.

I’m 3 weeks post circumcision, Dr Khan’s glue procedure. I am so pleased with the results, still a little swollen but most of the glue is now off.
Question I have is I have two tiny little gaps where the skin hadn’t quite healed together yet. Do I just put little strips of steri strips on them to hopefully pull the gaps together.
