A tip of today. Why don't you just read topics on last month or so..

Are you following the instructions of your surgeon? That is sensible.
keep dressing everyday . Use ointment u will recover fast . keep wound healthy and clean
Use neosporin. I used it and was healed in 2weeks and all stitches gone
