Just been circumcised on NHS today under a local

Hi everyone I was circumcised this afternoon went in at 12.30 has to wait four hours before it was my turn , had it done under a local took twenty five minutes in total , I heard the urologist saying something along the lines that the scar line is 5mm under the Corona it was an NHS circumcision, I should of gone in March but last minute nerves but no nerves today , I’m glad I eventually took the plunge , now I’m home looking at the dressing it’s got blood in which I expected but what I didn’t expect was my pee stream it’s very normal , I thought it would spray everywhere! This forums been great , if I’ve any questions I’ll post them if it’s ok with you guys , cheers!

I’m 57 , I’ve had a tight foreskin for years , I’d been using Hydrocortisone creams & Fusidic acid for a long time but in the last 12 months they weren’t doing anything, I’d been put off by the stories of loss of sensitivity, losing length etc but then my son who is 31 had it done 2 years ago for the same reasons as me & has no regrets .

im 42 now n started thinking bout it past few year.Ive never had any issue retracting flaccid to clean etc.But when erect I'd always felt in my mind I wished it was slightly looser.Can recall getting helping hands as a teen and feeling sharp pains.I can only put it down to this.Id never thought circumcision was too big a deal my dad had it done as an infant due to tightness and he's had 3 kids no issues.Yip when I started looking into it read these stories.Guys saying it was a nightmare lost feeling etc issues ejaculating the lot.Its good to hear from guys like yourself it's been a positive move.

Thanks I’m just looking at the bandage & it’s caked with blood 🩸 it’s 24 hrs since I had it done , I’m wondering if I should change the bandage but a bit anxious in case I disrupt the stitches & also I’m not supposed to get any water near it has anyone any advice ? Thanks in advance

I’m sure you will be ok to damp the bandage with some Luke warm water & remove the bandage gently… if you do it gently you won’t disturb the stitches & then just pat it dry gently with a towel… don’t rub it…… my bandage came off within hours…never replaced it & showered within 48 hrs

Hi I managed to take the bandage off was easy enough to be fair just soaked it a bit , I’ve noticed he’s left my frenulum intact which I’m actually quite pleased about , looks like a nice V cut as well, doesn’t look to swollen & the bleeding has pretty much stopped , I really didn’t know what to expect , so far I’m quite pleased 😀 Thanks for the advice

It’s day six now after my circumcision it looks like it’s healing up pretty well , the bleeding has all stopped, the swelling has gone way down , the head of the penis is very dry & looks like it’s peeling , I haven’t dipped it in any salt or anything does anyone have any ideas as regards this ? I’m thinking of putting some Vaseline on the head would it be ok or could I infect anything? Thanks again in advance .

I'm willing to undergo circumcision for cosmetic reasons. But have lots of questions in my mind. Whether to get it done or not.I have a long foreskin which is really a burden for me both physically and mentally. But I'm scared of the process due to possible complications of surgery. 😥

I’m 19 days down the line now , to be fair it was only the first few days that were a bit sore but not throbbing or aching at all , I took no painkillers, I think having the snip (vasectomy) was worse , my balls ached for around a week after that , the circumcision was easier , there was some bleeding for around 48hrs but after I took the bandage off it had stopped , it swelled up for 5 days or so but then settled down , I showered on the 4th day but no soap or shower gel , my urine stream is a lot more powerful so up to present I’ve no regrets , seems to be healing ok , the stitches are not as prominent, just some itching from time to time
