hi all - I found this forum having recently undergone circumcision.
It’s great to see a community of people going through similar post-op uncertainty.
I am 10 weeks post op and the swelling is still high and it’s a little sensitive, which sounds common. However it is bumpy following the stitches, do others experience this? Is this what people are referring to by swelling? How long can we expect this to take to normalise? It’s not the most pleasant sight!
I think I’m struggling due to expectation set by the urologist that it would take 6 weeks to recover from.

the bumps along the incision line are from the stitches and normally not what people are referring to when they say ‘swelling’.
I’m at 3 weeks and have a couple of them bumps but as far as I know they will flatten out eventually but I heard it can take up to year, or at least it’s slow to do so.
There may be a cream or ointment to help speed it up but maybe consult your doctor
I’m coming up to 8 weeks on Monday and I still have the bumps near the incision line. I still have a few scabs as well so hopefully will fall off soon.
I was struggling with the sensitivity still am but managed to put boxers on the first time this week after 7 weeks still sore but at least I can leave the house.
Healing time varies for each of us. At ten weeks I was just about over the worst. And yes, it does not look pretty at this point but it does get better.Keep it clean and start introducing gentle touch to help reduce sensitivity.
