I need honest feedback on this. The head of my penis has a really rough texture with little lines running down it, it was smooth until I was about 14 when they started appearing. It causes me a unbelievable amount of stress. I am 21 now and I have avoided women my whole life because I am terrified of how they will react. Is anyone out there familiar with having an issue like this ??? What would you do if you were me ?? Do you think a girl would be able to put up with this if they really liked me and do you think I would need to go about explaining it to them first???

I have those lines too, but I am circumcised. Your obviously uncircumcised. Usually the penis head is really smooth when you are uncut. One possibility to consider is: does your foreskin completely covered your glans when flaccid? Regardless tons of penis heads look like that and those men are accepted. Anyone who judges you for that is not worth knowing. Please look at some of my pictures on my profile: our penis heads look very similar in texture. It’s actually amazing how similar our penis heads are. No one ever said anything to me about my penis head. Try putting some extra virgin organic unrefined coconut oil on your penis head to see if it smooths out. Mine has been smoothing out a little bit lately. Also do you have any other symptoms?
Yeah I see slightly more similiar texture among circumcised guys but have no idea why mine is so rough. My foreskin covers the majority of my glans most of the time. No other symptoms it is just a cosmetic issue. It causes me so much stress, I really like this girl at the moment and she likes me back but I am terrified of getting intimate and it just sucks so bad to feel like this.
This could be why your glans is not smooth. In order for it to be smooth, it really needs to be covered all the time. Honestly your glans looks as if you have a circumcised penis even though you don’t.
One thing to consider is I am thinking you may not be getting enough fluids? Or maybe you are working in a very dry environment? These are the most likely causes. Another possibility is that maybe you were forcibly retracted as a young boy. This kind of thing happens a lot even though it is complete ignorance. I also notice the tight ring around your glans. It looks on the tight side. Maybe this could be a cause as well.
Just some things to consider. Also when you touch your glans is it sensitive? Do you feel a lot of sensation?
Yeah it is plenty sensitive enough, i really dont think its from lack of being covered, when i say mostly i mean like 99 percent covered at all times. In all honesty i think its just a wierd skin variation but i hate it.
Actually I think some of the skin was fused to the glans at one point and it’s almost like part of the foreskin got fused to the glans and part of it never separated.
Are you thinking that is related to the rough texture or ??
I mean the texture has been like this for over a decade now, I am not too worried about how it happened and I dont think it is harmful, its more just I am psychologically really worried about whether it will gross people out.
Nobody is going to care or notice. This is a really old post, but I'm sure you've learned by now that no one cares. You could come add that fact here, it would help all the people who ask your same questions. You know, like if you ran across this post 5 years ago it would've helped you. Example
"Oh wow here is a guy who was terribly worried about the same thing I am. His looks just like mine! Oh wow he overcame his anxiety and girls never noticed or cared! Thank heavens that's one worry off my list"
I honestly think you are fretting way too much. If you hadn’t stated your concern I wouldn’t have picked it up from the photo. If you like the girl and she likes you, the last thing she will be examining will be the texture of your glans! It looks totally within what I would consider normal, applying a little coconut oil or bio oil is probably good practice in any case so you could try that. But mainly.... don’t let unnecessary worrying hold you back and possibly lose your girl!

Your glans looks very similar to mine. I’m uncut too and my glans has looked like that for decades.
Try not to worry over something that very few people are going to see that close.
If you’re in a situation where a girl is that close to your penis it’s very unlikely that she will be examining the texture of your glans before putting it in her mouth.

It will not gross people out. Don’t sweat it. If you bring it up prior to having sex, she/he will be expecting something horribly wrong with your penis and frankly it’s very normal looking.
I believe its one variation of PPP I have both bumps around the head of my penis and also the textured lines on my glands like that, although mine may be slightly more textured than yours.
I had EXTREME anxiety over this until i met my long term partner at 21. well it looks totally fine , mine is way way worst than that, beginning of glans is all bumpy and looks horrible when erect its less visible almost nothing all smoothbeen like that for as long as i remember and never find out why . thats why for 5 years haven't been with anyone :/
Your penis head looks utterly normal. If I looked at mine, now, it would identical. You're doing what I call "Living in your penis".

Are you putting creams on it ? If so certain creams can cause this as I have had this and still get this, only wash with simple soap no shower gels. coco butter and vaseline moisturiser stay away from, only cream I’ve found that works wonders for my sensitive skin down there is sudacrem, will sort the redness out and smooth the penile tip over.
You are completely normal man. Havent read all the comments but I have the same look. Ive also been with a few women and havent had a complaint or comment ever about it. Men have different penises just like women have different vaginas. She will be fine with it trust me dont stress it. What you have is pretty normal. The glans really expand a lot when the penis is aroused. The skin on the glans needs to expand and contract. You are intact (uncut) and because your foreskin may not always be covering your glans there is some wrinkling due to dryness on the glans skin. This is because the natural oils that the foreskin gives out normally keeps the glans soft, shiny, and supple. Many circumcised guys also have this similar look on their glans - except that their penis is all dry (lack of foreskin dries up the glans).
Your sexual partner will not care about it.
Easy way to reduce it is to keep your foreskin pulled front (covering the glans) and every night or in shower you can massage some natural oils (like natural coconut oil) on the glans and inside skin. Over a few days it will seem less wrinkled
