Day #2: weird hang and pain levels

I got my circ done yesterday - thanks to members who provided advice and support in advance.

Everything went well but two immediate observations I’d welcome thoughts on:

1) My penis is hanging strangely to the left (pic included). Is this something to be mindful of at this stage or not to worry about? Since I noticed this morning I’ve been trying to place it to the other side in my underwear to even it out.

2) I am pleasantly surprised at the lack of pain I am experiencing. I did have some issues sleeping - partly as I am quite a rough sleeper so was difficult to keep in one place and also when the inevitable erection happened. However I haven’t really experienced any pain, just levels of discomfort (and can certainly feel the sensitivity coming through the part exposed from the dressing). I haven’t even had any painkillers for 12 hours now. Is this a good indication of the pain I will experience or might that come later? I’m trying to plot when I will be able to return to work. At the moment I feel confident on doing so in the next few days should nothing change pain wise.

Mine hung to one side and now it’s back to normal. It could be how you are bandages or there could be more swelling on one side.

The pain is the greatest on day 1 and 2 so once you are past that you should be good. That’s not to say you won’t have tenderness or discomfort going forward when you do certain things over the next few weeks. When you take your bandage off I recommend you keep a layer of Neosporin or Vaseline on the incision to keep it moist. It heals better in a moist environment. Medical research indicates scabs are not good and the result of cellular material dying as it’s exposed to the dry air. Ask your doctor.

For erections, it’s helpful to immediately get up to pee when you feel one coming on. It makes it go away.

The pain and swelling of the penis is normal after the operations. Couple with the latter the sensitvitiy of the head is another challenge. I had mine operations done four weeks ago, I experienced the similiar challenges as stated above (less sleep, pain, sensivity of the penis head).
