I am 30 and was partially circumcised 6 weeks ago due to phimosis.
All stitches have gone out and my doctor yesterday said the incision has healed.
Frankly speaking I never knew about cleaning under my foreskin for 30 years.
After the partial circumcision surgery, I was only cleaning on the top of the mushroom area and not under. (Was not aware and was scared to pull the skin more back as it was sticking)
Q1. Yesterday my doctor told and showed me how to pull the skin fully and clean the Smegma, as you can see in the pic under the mushroom area there is dry Smegma, can you advise best way to do this (Currently I have during shower passed water and with little dove soap rubbed with finger gently and removed as much as possible but it’s just 2 times done till now, so I guess a few more days that I need to continue to get the years old stuff out)
Q2. Also in the pic the circled area that’s the only place that’s red and it hurts when undergarments touch and rub against it, can you tell me what is this and how can it go away as after my circumcision I had sensitivity problem which is reducing but now only this red patch on glans that’s the most troublesome. (It almost feels like something is pricking when underwear rubs against it)
Any tips and guidance would be helpful.
Thank You.

Thanks Circdone will try the oil thing before going for a shower.
It was partial as the doctor suggested, was not aware much.
I’ll just have to see how I go for now with partial and if any complications I’ll just have to go for re-circumcision
Also can you tell me what that red spot is and why does it hurt when rubbing to clothes. (It feels like there is a pin poking )
Pull skin back every time you are in shower and wash under skin carefully. I would use dove sensitive body wash so you don’t irritate the sensitive area Rinse it well after.
The spot on your head just looks like irritation from rubbing against your underwear and should go down as your penis head gets used to being exposed. I would suggest either briefs or boxer briefs so it provides a bit more support
I have been pulling it now 2 days and will continue to do so
I agree will not use dove soap for the penis and get the dove sensitive body wash
After I have done with soap I am putting enough water and ensuring no soap remains
That red spot was where after the surgery I had a thick stich that was put with a thin gauze and that gauze fell off after a week so I feel that stitch sitting at 12 o’clock kept rubbing and has made the glans red as no other part of my glans is red at all just that spot
(Just FYI only: when I zoom in on the pic I can see a black spot in that red area and it feels like a thin thread like thing which I feel maybe something that causing the poke... just my silly guess)
I am wearing briefs which help keep it in place.
Now just hoping that redness goes and never comes again
Having a gauze stitched on do your foreskin is something I’ve never heard of before but it could be that stitch at 12 o’clock like you said was in fact irritating the head I would try to keep the skin back as much as possible and let the head air out maybe try putting a little vitamin E on that red spot and it should go away with time
I thought so. Why do they try talking guys out of partial circumcision so much? I think it’s criminal to do that. If you had a circumcision where only the frenar band was cut off and that’s it. I wonder if there would be any difference in-terms of the pleasure during orgasm. This would assume that the foreskin would not be prematurely retracted. Curious to hear your thoughts?
As glans is exposed, over time it will change in texture and color. Balanitis can mean several things, mainly yeast proliferation. Apply Clotrimazole twice per day for two weeks.
