I am 27 years old and looking to get a circumcision done in London ideally as I have a tight foreskin. I assume its phimosis rather than a short frenulum (need to verify this in the consultation)
I have been doing a bit of research and have narrowed down my search to three clinics located around London so far:
Q1) What cut style (high/low tight/loose) would you recommend for someone with tight foreskin.
Q2) Would you also recommend keeping the frenelum?
I would like to retain as much sensitivity as possible but am aware there might be some loss
Q3) Does anyone have any experience with any of the above clinics or could recommend a clinic in the UK?
I have seen a few positive comments on this forum for Dr Khan and have seen a few pictures which look good. My only concern is the impression I have from the website is it will be a bit wham, bam, thank you mam in this clinic. Could someone tell me in a bit more detail the experience they had in this clinic e.g. the advice given on the style of cut etc.
Q4) Has there been any loss in length/girth or sensitivity for guys who have experienced an adult circumcision?
Many thanks for you answers in advance

If you truly have phimosis then why not see a doctor?
Also, with phimosis you may find your options limited so be prepared for a low cut. Obviously if the purpose is to resolve a tight foreskin then the tight restriction part is what’ll be removed.
Thanks for the speedy reply User, I've got an appointment booked 2 weeks from now. I guess I just kind of want it done and dusted with, feels like its something I probably should have done a while ago. Maybe patience is a virtue.
Re: low cut - Ahh that sucks, I guess that means less inner foreskin and therefore less sensitivity
I understand. Don’t get hung up on inner foreskin and sensitivity, I don’t think it’s as significant as some believe. I think a low cut looks better cosmetically and with phimosis you’re maybe not benefitting from any sensitivity at all at the moment.
I have to second this. After reading on the internet about the pluses of a high cut, that is what I asked of 3 of the doctors I saw before getting it done. And they all recommended low & tight as that's the best protection for STDs and looks better cosmetically (2 of them were female doctors btw)
And that's what I got, about 1cm from the glans (erect). And its fine actually, not missing much if anything as I've preferred glans stimulation anyway.
I think your remark about the low cut is off base. The cause of phimosis is the phimotic ring. That can certainly be removed and still leave a substantial amount of inner foreskin.
I was very anxious about having a circumcision and thought a dorsal slit would be better for my tight foreskin. I just got a referral through a GP and the consultant said patients with a dorsal slit often returned for a full circumcision.
The whole process was fantastic (well, as far as can be expected for someone cutting bits off your willy). Think the surgery only took a few minutes.
After surgery the first week was quite intense. Unwanted erections were very uncomfortable. But after that it healed very quick. Now I wish I had it done ages ago (I was 30 when I had it done).
For me sex is lots better, even more sensitivity actually as I don't have the tightness and discomfort any more.
Just get yourself to a GP, it's really common for them and even more so for the consultant urologist, they must do hundreds a year. And free.
Thanks User, the dorsal slit information is great to know. Sound advice on the GP/NHS, will most certainly do that
Glad to hear everything is going well for you, excellent news
I know a couple of people who were recently circumcised by Dr Khan and they were very happy with it. A friend of mine got circumcised a few years back and if I remember rightly he had Dr Hasan and was very happy too.
Hi, consult with your doctor first and get it confirmed. There are a few guys here on this forum that have had their circumcision done with Dr Khan he seems to have very good results.
Style of circumcision and sensitivity they are hard questions to answer I have a low and tight cut with frenulum removed (see my post) I find it still very pleasurable sensitivity wise I did lose some of the fine touch sensitivity from my glans. size wise I haven't lost any at first you may find it is smaller it does take a little bit of time to settle your scar may feel tight and some numbness but this all goes gradually overtime.
Thanks MrMac, sound advice think that would be best. If I do go private Dr Khan seems the way to go.
Looks awesome, has healed up very nicely must be the glue method.
Definitely subjective, I really enjoy the pleasure I receive under the base of my head near my frenulum. It's usually how I reach an orgasm, I really want to maintain the sensitivity there. I am unsure whether it is the frenelum tissue itself or the glans which causes sensitivity there.
Yes the male G-spot I can understand you would want to keep that area it's just underneath your frenulum I'm sure whatever surgeon you decide on they could accommodate this. you possibly would need a high and loose cut then I'm not sure if a low and tight cut would od accommodate that.
Thanks for the compliment I didn't have the glue it was just ordinary sutures but it has healed well. if I was to have it done now I would definitely go with the glue method.
I find I do last longer now then before. I rather have the look of a low and tight cut you don't have any skin bunching up behind the glans when flaccid it's probably not as sensitive as a loose cut with more inner foreskin. I did have my frenulum removed I think it can be oversensitive if it is left. It's really much easier to clean no smegma or smells anymore.
I have considered it, It has gradually loosened as the years have gone on and as I have been pulling my foreskin back more frequently. At this point I can get the foreskin behind the head at about 85% erection. But it's only been a fairly recent phenomenon and I cannot really move it back and forth very easily.
Can you recommend any stretching places, I will take a look.
To be honest though at this point I'm quite inclined toward circumcision. I just want to move forward with my life and have this problem behind me.
Why go through all the trauma and potential risk when stretching for a short period of time will permanently cure the problem, also preserving the appearance? You can get expert coaching here: willywellbeing.com
