Circumcision day after op

Starting to freak out a little if I am honest, does this look right!? I know am not the biggest guy down there but I feel like the swollen skin is going to completely cover my glands soon - is that swelling really bad? Its so fat and puffy at the moment and my japseye is big and swollen... yet I have zero pain

It's pretty typical swelling. It will subside (slowly). You'll have a much better appearance in about 3 weeks.

I recall seeing a similar one on here to be fair but its when its yours and experiencing it, it doesn’t look or feel right

Hey Man, it is quite a swollen but it will go down in time. it's your whole shaft I thought it might have been your inner foreskin that can swell sometimes as well. Your glans and meatus will be very sensitive and your pee could go everywhere and may be slow to start but that's normal. don't worry about size man he has been through a lot that's why it is so swollen hopefully in a few weeks it will be a lot different. for the time being take it easy and relax.

Peeing hasn’t been an issue thankfully, but the swelling doesn’t appear to be reducing much. Experienced my first erection this morning and it actually wasn’t to bad of an experience, feels a bit more sensitive down there this morning so more than likely a slight stretching of the stitches

That's good man you don't have any problems peeing could still happen though. do you have any bruising yet from the injections that's why you have swelling as well from the anaesthetic keep him upright if you can, and maybe some ice would help. you could have a shower tomorrow and I found wet wipes very handy. When you had the erection could you see the wound and stitches or can you pull back your skin to reveal them?

I have bruising on my inner thighs strangely. Aye am looking forward to having a shower, am going to wrap him in cling film to avoid him getting wet. I was half asleep as I woke up during it, I didn’t actually look and although I have pulled the swollen skin back I am reluctant to pull at it incase of opening up the wound, so just letting the swelling go down naturally and hopefully my glands will then become clearer

I was told by the hospital no baths for 2 weeks as getting the stitches wet isn’t good so when should I start thinking about salt bathing it? Am wary that the stitches are currently hidden under the swollen shaft

Misinformation again, stitches can take up to five weeks to dissolve so there’s no need to rush to the doctor and take up their valuable time On day 22. Just be patient and it’s OK to bathe once wound is sealed but best to only take showers in first week as it’s more sterile. Faff about with ice cubes as much as you like but medical advice is to keep your penis pointing upwards and allow gravity to drain the excess fluid to reduce swelling.

It looks fine. The swelling is gonna be there for a while. Mine looked like a pig in a blanket too but eventually it went away. You cant focus on how long it took for anyone else on here cause everyone's recovery is different. It may even start going down and then randomly swell again. What I did since day one is I used ice packs. I would put an ice pack to my crotch for 15bto 20 mins each time every couple of hours for the first week. I'd put a hand towel under to avoid getting it wet from the ice melting. My swelling went down in almost 2 weeks thankfully.

You have just managed to make me laugh for the first time since getting it done, “pig in a blanket” is nailed on for how it currently looks haha. If I don’t laugh ad cry, I know its a long game I am going to have to play but its certainly got me down in the dumps in the short term, I am just trying to remain positive

Lol glad it made you laugh at least. The most important thing you need to remember and you need to take from these posts is that we all went through this, we are all together on the same journey. It's not easy, it sucks but it does get better. It does get us down a bit cause our manhood is outta commission lol

I’m sure you are intelligent enough to know that so many things you state are done so in a negative way. Yes, people need facts but they also need encouragement and the way you word things make it appear that recovery from circumcision is always awful.

I agree with a lot of what you say. My point is that the way you sometimes say things could depress people further. There are people on here who point out potential problems whilst also saying that things can often improve more quickly. They offer encouragement. That doesn’t mean that they are especially pro-circumcision.
