Foreskin doesn’t pull back naturally

Hello community,

I’m a 17 year old uncircumcised male and the foreskin of my penis can’t pull back unless I do it with my own hand/s and when I pull the skin back and the penis gets erected it causes a mild pain which bothers me.

This has been like this for me always and I was wondering if I should go see my doctor or if anyone here can recommend what to do?

Thanks!

It sounds like you have a mild case of phimosis, but your doctor can give you a correct diagnosis. They will likely recommend a course of stretching with steroidal cream to get you an easy and pain-free retraction.

Thanks a ton! Do you think any surgery could possibly be involved though?

From your description, I doubt that would be necessary. Circumcision is certainly a remedy for phimosis, but stretching is the first option and from your description, it sounds like yours isn't severe.

I would not rule out circumcision. Great operation. No regrets . Get a good surgeon

Yes start stretching, move onto steroid cream if necessary. Use Surgery as a last resort.

Good luck.

Thank you for the advice! However the problem that most bothers me is that when I pull back the foreskin and the penis becomes erect, I get a mild pain that bothers me too much to potentially have intercourse or masturbate...

I had the same thing when I was in my early 20s. I went to see a GP who prescribed a cream which didn't work at all. I decided to seek a second opinion from a different doctor and I ended up having a circumcision. I've never looked back, sex is so much more enjoyable and my penis looks better without the foreskin.

See a doctor about it.I recommend stretching exercises.

If your doctor suggests circumcision, find another doctor.

Circumcision is a last resort and I don't think your problem is that severe.

If you are considering circumcision, think long and hard, because there is no going back.

Also, there are numerous bad experiences reported by men in this forum who have undergone the procedure.

If you want to keep your foreskin, make sure to wash your glans (penis head) and the inner foreskin daily.

I have been doing that for years and haven't had any problems.

entirely normal. it will stretch as you continue to manipulate it and when you have sex. and, yes, it's a little painful at first, just as it is when a woman first breaks her hymen or starts having sex. you're only young.
