Hello all, what are your thoughts regarding circumcision on minors? Personally, I have no problem in adult male individuals undergoing circumcision as it is their choice, however I am in conflict after watching this video:

I wonder if anyone could share their opinion about it after watching it? It sums up the reasoning on why circumcision shouldn't be done to babies or children.

No, I'm not looking for that. I just want to understand the opinions of other men who have either gone through circumcision as an adult, or when they were younger. It pertains to their health as well as the ethics of medical practices that are done on men.

I am supportive of men who go through circumcision as adults, but I also want to know what men who has been circumcised as minors have got to say. If they believe it was a good decision made by their parents, then I want to hear it. If they believe that they should have had a say in it, I would also like to hear it.
Shouldn't decisions be made upon research on such procedures? I'd like to think that men do their research before making whatever decisions they want!

You have raised a good question, the answer to which is that there is rarely a medical reason to circumcise a minor. The rare exception is to treat severe cases of hypospadias in which the foreskin is used to create an extension of the urethra. A diagnosis of phimosis in minors is unethical and false because nearly all boys are born with irretractile foreskins which naturally release and loosen with maturity. The small percentage which fail in that process are easily treated with non-invasive manipulation.
Without medical justification, circumcision of minors continues purely as a social custom disguised as a prophylactic step against future problems which largely never materialize, or as a need to fit into societal conformity, and, of course, the religious practice of a very small segment of people who impose the identifying mark upon their males. None of these reasons legitimately or reasonably supports the permanent mutilation of the body of another human, especially one who cannot give legal consent. The act permanently deprives the victim of natural protection during formative years and in maturity, of the subtle additional layers of erogenous pleasure afforded by the several thousand nerve receptors found only in the foreskin inner layer. In addition, severe trust issues and feelings of loss are common among those victimized young.

Organizations such as norm.org, noharmm.org, nocirc.org, cirp.org, doctorsopposinvcircumcision.org, jews against circumcision, and several others provide medical, legal and ethical arguments in depth, building a solid case against the practice. None of these organizations stands in the way of an adult male choosing to alter his own body for whatever reason he chooses. I stand ready to discuss the topic with anyone who is willing to discuss rationally and unemotionally.
Yes, which was why I wanted to know the opinions of those who have done through circumcision as adults in regards to circumcision on minors. I also welcome those who have gone through circumcision when they were younger to voice their opinions and share what their experiences are growing up. Thanks for posting this video. Many people on here will know that I am pro-circumcision, that I was circumcised as a baby, and that my partner and I elected to have our two sons circumcised when they were babies. I am not going to get into discussions here as I have done that many times before. I know I am not going to convince people to change their views and I am not going to try to. In fact, I have no interest in changing other people’s views. I can only say that I have always been happy being circumcised and my sons feel the same. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the venue and procedure of our sons’ circumcisions. Incidentally, we would never have allowed a circumciser to suck the blood with his lips as demonstrated in the video.
It is important that all sides in this discussion maintain civility to one another at all times. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and a forum like this should be somewhere where everyone can post their opinions without fear of rudeness or aggression from anyone else. That goes for all sides of the argument or discussion.

I was circumcised as an adult for medical reasons.
I do not think there is any reason why babies and children should go through this procedure without a good medical reason.
Check out their profiles, see how recent they are and contributions they've made before. They have a track record, axes to grind and opinions to force down people's throats.
Remember that this site is not a chat room to generate views and opinions. It is a site to support men in whatever decisions they make about their own bodies and health. If you can't understand that this may mean making decisions you might not agree with, either shut up or go elsewhere.
nobody should be performing non essential surgery on a non consenting person and circumcision is, by and large, a non essential surgery. simple.
Circumcision should be for consenting adults only. Children should be left with an open future.
