Day 5 circumcision recovery. Brain fog.

Has anyone felt off mentally after their circumcision? Like a brain fog maybe? I'm on day 5, haven't taken pain meds other than ibuprofen since day 2. Night number 2 I woke sweating with an overall odd feeling, mostly head pressure and some disorientation... I've pretty much convinced myself that I had a mini stroke in my sleep for some reason. I must add I do have hypochondria disorder, but this just feels real, like I'm still in a daze. ? Any advice?

I felt very dizzy and spaced out and generally drained for over a week after mine. I got so worried i went to the gp but in the end it gradually got better on its own. He did give me some medication to fight infection so not sure if they helped but after a few days it got better

Yeah Its a very disorienting feeling, some dizziness when I stand, and definitely like mental exhaustion. I I haven't found much info on it being a thing, so of course I'm worrieng myself about it. I just feel spaced out and I hate it.

Could it possibly be a reaction to the anaesthetic drugs?

I'm not certain, it was my first time every being under anesthesia, so I'm unfamiliar with the possibilities of how it can effect people differently. It seems likely to me, but also I'm worrying myself about it, so there are lots of possibilities I'm thinking about. 😥

Thats exactly what i had for other a week. The GP said its the slow affects of the drugs and things. It went after a week or so. Just rest and drink lots of fluids and hopefully it goes away

That gives me hope that its temporary, its day 5 now. About how long would you say it was? Over 7 days?

I basically had it for 5days got worried went to my gp, he took bloods and sent me away but they were fine. I said at 7 days i still had it and he said maybe u have an infection somewhere and gave me some medication and a few days later i felt more normal. I still think personally being my first time under , my body struggled with it possibly and took a while

Id say give it a week and if no better at all by after the weekend say, see your gp

Technically a small surgery but not for the patient themselves. Doctors definitely don't inform patients enough.

maybe your body is working hard to compensate the loss of the skin and healing the wound.

I would take more rest and avoid eating unhealthy food.
