Anyone here with a diagnosis of stage 1 granulosa ovarian cancer that wasn’t allowed to take HRT? Is menopause manageable? Any advice?

I had a cyst and ovary removed and the biopsy showed stage 1 ovarian granulosa cancer .

I am due to have the other ovary removed and a hysterectomy done in a few weeks and the doctor has advised that these tumours make the female hormone oestrogen so I am not allowed to take HRT. Worried about the impact of surgical menopause and how I will cope with the symptoms. Can anyone advise of any natural homeopathic remedies ? Has anyone had a similar diagnosis . Any advise would be very much appreciated.

hello, I’m sorry you haven’t had a reply, I don’t have experience with ovarian cancer, I had a scare 2 years ago but the raised blood test turned out to be picking up my fibroids.

My sister did a natural route through menopause, she swore by sage tea (just boil water and pour in dry or fresh sage from the garden) it’s an acquired taste!

I’ve heard linseeds and soy are oestrogenic, if you Google phyto oestrogen foods and herbs you’ll find loads. But be warned herbal remedies are not so well regulated as medicine and an eye watering % of liver failure in US is from herbal remedies.

Are you also on the HU ovarian cancer forum?, they are super friendly and kind over there. Might be worth asking them 🌱
