peri menopause symptoms

Hi so I’m now awake at least 3/4 times a night needing to wee and it’s not a small amount also more times than usual during the day. It seems that it comes in cycles if that makes sense 🤷‍♀️. Also constant headaches. Thank you for taking the time to read my post I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced these symptoms and could they also be peri menopause symptoms.

🙂 Perimenopause symptoms can vary person to person. For peace of mind..see your GP to rule out a UTI. Frequent urination and headaches could have various causes.

If you look up vaginal atrophy this could be the issue. It’s all related to the menopause I’m afraid.

I was the same wanting the toilet constantly, with only a few trickles coming out.

I now take HRT plus vagifem which you insert internally and this has done the trick.

Sometimes GP’s can mistake it for urine infections, when in fact it’s all down to vaginal atrophy.

I take vagifem too for dryness and irritation. Still get up most nights for a wee though, had so many antibodies for UTI’s . I didn’t realise you could have pessaries and HRT.

Sounds a bit like a UTI. However do you have a pain as usually in most UTIs there is stomach pain but not all Also you could have a overactive bladder which can develop in perimenopause.

Could I ask following your hysterectomy do you not have a menopausal symptoms?

I had a hysterectomy a month before you, same kept my ovaries and am struggling with bad symptoms.
