Duvets

Hello everyone. I don't know if duvets have got hotter - or if I've got hotter. I've bought several 4.5 tog duvets for spring / summer but they've all felt hot to me . Luckily I've been able to return them. Can anyone recommend a cool 4.5 tog duvet? Thank you.

Thanks wobblybee I've had a look at the M&S 2.5 tog feather duvet . It looks very promising. The only downside is some reviewers say it crackles every time they move. And M&S have a no returns policy on bedding. Have you or anyone else tried this duvet? Thank you.

We bought the autograph one from M&S, it has the 4.5 and 2.5 held together by poppers, so at the moment we are still using the 4.5, Im on HRT so at the moment its not too hot. It is expensive but its lovely and no noise!

Thanks lemonbalm I'll have a look at that one. It sounds ideal - a 2.5 & a 4.5 which gives you plenty of options . M&S think of everything 🙂

Oops Menopausal brain, hubby just said its 9.5 and 4.5! but we are still using the 9.5, and the Autograph ones on M&S can be returned ! There is a 3 tog on M&S.

Hi I suffered with severe night sweats for about a year and I researched that wool duvets were the answer (I think bamboo is similar in it's natural thermo-regulating properties). More expensive but been a game changer for me...the natural properties of wool will help regulate your body temp & keep you cool during the night in summer and warm in winter. So works well with two sharing. All different tog levels. I also changed all covers to 100% cotton. All this made a big difference for me & well worth the cost for a long lasting duvet! Hope you find something that works for you.

Thanks Emma43 That's very interesting. Where can you buy a wool duvet? I don't think I've seen them anywhere .

If you do a internet search a few will come up, but I got mine from The Wool Room in the end.

It’s a quality duvet so I know it’ll last a lot longer than my others. All the info on the website.

Not sure what the price difference is with bamboo bedding but has similar properties.
