Hydro after meningitis

Has anyone experienced hydrocephalus after recovering from meningitis?How long after recovering was you diagnosed with it or showed symptoms? My 5 month old had pneumococcal meningitis we are now 6 weeks on since being diagnosed, he had an burr hole surgery as they thought he had pockets of puss on brain when they operated it was just fluid which has showed in last 2 recent scans it is reducing each time he’s now home we have nurses coming out twice a day to do antibiotics, he is finishing them on Saturday and he would of had 6 weeks worth of them. I have been told to keep a close eye for hydro an I am panicking about it. Is it common? How long after meningitis can it take to devolp etc? Thanks for reading

I'm currently in hospital with my 2 month old who's had ecoli meningitis since birth, last week she was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and is going in for shunt surgery at some point this week, from what I know a very clear sign in babies is the head growing in size (hers was by 1cm each day) and she was very irritable but they have also told me that vomiting and not being really sleepy are also signs, go with your gut, if you feel like something isn't right get it checked out, hope this helps 😊
