I can't shut my brain off. It's like an obsessive analyzing all the time. It's like a game show or a movie or like reading a book or singing a song. It's wanting to try everything help everyone I feel like I lost my chances of getting my kids back. Idk I pray wrong. But if I did then I'm not just going to sit back and do nothing but want to die. It's hard when you are medicated since 7 now 37. Like you really think I can handle being sober off everything even prescription medication like how do you expect me to function I've done meth maybe 1 full year combined like I was able to quit Everytime now my mimic is forcing growth witch is only pushing my mn away. I'm happy to be here! Thank you

Hi,There is no easy way to turn your thoughts off, especially if you are alone in your efforts.

When possible, discuss how you are managing at the moment with your doctor and or therapist.

The past sets the context for the present. We can change only our future (with help from family and friends).

As a resident of USA, you can as a first point of call, use the mental health service helpline. Call 988 anytime for advice and support.

Hi, I've struggled with intrusive thoughts since age 7 (now 39), I was diagnosed with OCD as well as depression at 17 and I do a couple of things to mitigate them, I don't know if it would be helpful to you but please feel free to chat if you'd like.

Reashine,

I’m sorry that you are going through such a rough time right now.

Why are you off your psych meds? I hope that you can see a psychiatrist for some medication that will help with your obsessive thoughts. I have obsessive thoughts and they are no fun.

Have you tried questioning your thoughts? For example: This thought is upsetting me, I can’t make it stop. Answer your thought with. I’m feeling very anxious right now, that’s why I’m having these thoughts, I’ll just do some breathing exercises or repeat positive thoughts over and over until I calm down.

You got this!

😊
