Is it normal for a chronic depressed person to be interested in mostly sad music, books, etc.? I’m just a little confused.

YUP. IT SUCKS! Don't read anything by Charles Bukowski or Emil Cioran! Don't listen to 'Street Spirit' by Radiohead or 'Sailing Away' by Jennifer Castle! Bukowski's writting kills me, and Sailing Away always gets me. It's frustrating as hell 😫

Thanks for replying. I hate you have to deal with this too, but you’ve let me know I’m not alone. Peace be with you.

I admire your perseverance. I may have to stop reading sad books too. Thanks for sharing and I wish you the best.
