I am a 61 year old woman who has been battling depression since 1990 and since then I've lost my daughter, my mum and my job all in the space of 2 years between June 2007 and June 2009 and having suffered multiple TIAs in January 2022 and then covid in February 2022, was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer on September 16th 2022, a day I'll never forget and given a prognosis of 3-6months and I'm still here nearly 14 months later, receiving maintenance chemotherapy every 3 weeks and trying to be as positive as possible and make the most of each day despite everything that's happened to me. I hope my story might help inspire others with MDD to realise that where there's life, there's hope.
