I don’t know. I do know I need the meds I take. They give me an even playing field with the rest of the human race. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

I don't believe MDD can be cured. I think its in your DNA and all you can do is manage it and live with it.

I think it's rare that medication isn't needed to fight this disease. My antidepressants don't work and I'm taking Ketamine. I was in a hopeless situation and I didn't want to live. But the Ketamine is working.

Yes, i think it's possible to be cured of it. I knew someone that took 5-HTP for a couple months and got over it. And I've heard of several people whose brain changed as they got older they got happier.

I think what ever works for you works for you, don't judge what you need or what someone else needs. That being said i don't think there is a cure, i see depression the way people see asthma or allergies, you didnt ask to be born with it but u need to find healthy ways so u can live a healthier life. Just like someone might need insulin, inhaler, or epi pen. You figure out what you need. It might be psychotherapy, medication, self-help, support groups, self-care lifestyle changes, listening to positive podcasts, or reading books about depression and/or anxiety. Unfortunately, there i no cure but i do believe there is a healthy way to live with depression where it doesn't feel debilitating. It is not easy and a life-long journey but we dont judge people with diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, MS, allergies, or asthma. (the list goes on lol) The point is dont judge yourself. You have value and i know it may seem hard to see it but there's something special that you need to share with the world and thats why you're here. Don't give up 😘😘
