I am new here and looking to talk to others. I have had MDD for a very long time. Been on all different kind of medications through the years. Currently on Wellbutrin XL 300 mg and Lexapro 30 mg. I tried to take 450 mg of the Wellbutrin XL but it causes more anxiety. The Dr wants me to start taking Modifinal as a add on. Has anyone took this and had any promising results? Please let me know

Having a hard time managing my MDD and Anxiety
Hi, I don’t have experience with those meds but I understand the frustration and sadness over trying to find the right cocktail. I hope you will stick around here and be part of the community. And starting chats with people can help. I’m glad you’re always hopeful!
Thank you!!
👋 how's your first week of TMS going? Curious about the deep brain stimulation of Brainsway.
I have not had experience with wellbutrin but Lexapro I have. It did not work for me. I to have MDD. I am currently on effexor 75mg. and have been for years but just recently upped the dose to 100mg. And it's not working as much anymore. I guess our bodies get used to the medication and we need to change it up every few years. But I hate it. Cuz it sucks until you find the best cocktail.
I did well on effexor years back. If I can remember I think I was upped to 225mg. But it stopped working. The first cocktail of medications working together is Wellbutrin and Lexapro. Lexapro helped me with my anxiety. But it stopped working. I just did some research and found out that a dopamine reuptake inhibitor is what is needed as a add on to help better with symptoms. I am waiting for my insurance to approve Modifinal.
they can up lexapro to 30???

i'm currently taking 150 Wellbutrin XL and 20mg of Zoloft.
I used to take Lexapro and found that it was helpful for my depression and anxiety but it didn't cover some of my PTSD symptoms.
I switched to Zoloft 3 years ago and found relief with the depression and PTSD side of things, but I do experience more anxiety on a daily basis now.
Going to therapy weekly has been a huge mood boost for me for the depressive symptoms.
The best improvement that i've found for anxiety on its own was to start going to physical therapy and then pilates classes once I was strong enough to attend. I still feel mildly anxious every day but once a week or so, I go to a class and feel great for most of the day.
Hmm I never knew that physical therapy for anxiety was possible. This is the first time I’ve ever heard of it. Thank you!
It’s not specifically intended for anxiety but it did have some benefits for mine. I had some muscular issues that were preventing me from exercising, so getting to a stronger physical place was unexpectedly helpful because it broadened my options for things I could participate in.
I'm on Modafinil in addition to duluxotine and vraylar and other meds. It keeps me from sleeping all day, for the most part.
personally, i had a bad reaction to lexapro. I wasn't mentally well while taking it so i downed my parents whole bottle of jack daniels to feel somethingand ended up throwing up everywhere and blacking out. make sure you let anyone know if there is any problems adjusting to a new medication
I'm on Pristiq 100 MG. and Abilify 10mg. For my MDD symptoms but I don't think that the medication is working anymore either. I did try Trintelix for a short time but I didn't see an improvement but maybe I didn't give it enough time but medication isn't working for me anymore my husband feels the same I've looked into other avenues like ketamine but my pastor doesn't recommend that for me and TMS. I have a friend that recently did TMS that is having a bit of success with it but I'm a little afraid of electrodes going into my brain
