I just wanted to post a quick update to let you know that I won my race at the weekend and I am now British Champion 100m M60 😃

I’m working on it already BC. Did sled pulls in my training this evening and then into the gym to give my quads, glutes and core a good workout.

Looks like hard work Brian. A bit like the parachutes our swimming coach had us towing along the pool a couple of weeks ago……only your exercise is much tougher! 👍

Race report is in production. Might be some time though as I’m busy dealing with the aftermath of a large chunk falling off the front of the house yesterday. 😬 Came home to 3 fire engines and a cherry picker outside.

Hi o61. The event got rather messed up as they were running too far behind schedule. It meant that the commentators etc got rather confused with what was going on at the point my race started. Anyway, I have made a clip of the final here.

Yes, it was another classic awful start from me wasn’t it? I had to give myself a good talking to at 50 metres and that seemed to do the trick. 👍 I took my lessons from watching Usain Bolt videos 😂

I've just lost my reply somewhere in cyberspace now. I was lucky enough to scroll to the exact spot on YouTube and after that start to watch you power your way to win was just so exciting. I had to watch it several times Brian. Brilliant win!
It arrived and this one too. 😊 I’m really glad you enjoyed watching it. I must admit I cringe when I watch it because of the start. But I’m working on it. Definitely a work in progress.

Hi Sulley, thank you. Yes my boys both managed to watch it. I’m at my mum’s now and I will show her the race later today. I’ve given her my medal (she has all my athletics medals), but first we are heading to town to get it engraved.
