Having to scale back my Great Run Solo Challenge and physically won’t be able to manage the 150km in 28 days. So have asked whether they can change it to 50km instead.
More manageable as having some back pain associated with my Cerebral Palsy. It happens occasionally so have to take a step back and think about number one instead.
Either way I’ll post here so you can follow how I’m doing, start date 28th November 👍 💖

Adapting is definitely the name of the game with any running challenge! Listening to your body is super important for all of us. I do hope they say yes for you 🤞
linda9389 yes I’ve learnt over the years that I just can’t manage what the usual is, so as you guessed it 😉 I adapt instead. Some movement for me is beneficial even gentle. As long as I’m doing all I can to protect my heart ❤️ I will do it. My struggle often comes with food more than anything but am trying my best to cut down on salt, saturated fat etc without restricting too much 😊
Hiya Irish, yes I will continue to post up as ultimately it helps me too knowing their is a family of people who genuinely care. I’m still doing some running, mostly on the spot at home. At least this way I don’t get wet! I’m doing a virtual half marathon on the 28th December and have planned four more. One in March, June, September and December 2023 x
