So in the end it was just the two of us who set off. We used the Park and Ride which ran very smoothly and dropped us off right by the event village. Toilets and bag drop sorted we then headed off to the Green wave.Β I ran this event a few years back and the course has changed a little. AsΒ cheekychipmunksΒ said, Bristol has a few little bumps along the way, which were mostly okay, although there was a hill just after 7k that I could have done without (dig deep Sandraβ¦youβve got this!) Also, Bristol has a lot of cobbled streets!!Support on the course was great and despite flagging a little, that glorious finish line soon came into view!
Β I finished in 1:08:35 which was pretty much what I had expected, although I would have liked to have been a little closer to 1:05, if Iβm honest!
Great day out and now revived after my magnesium bath!π

Sorry that your sister couldn't run Sandra, that course sounds quite tricky...That is a brilliant time and you got a lovely medal. Huge Well done!πββοΈπxxx
Well done Sandraj39 , that sounds like a great race for you, but such a shame that your sister couldnβt join in. I hope her back is better soon. I have also done the previous route and hope they bring it back next year as I loved running up the gorge . Also, I see enough cobblestones on the great south run!
Well done on your time Sandra and taking those cobbles and hills in your stride. It sounds like the support was great too. I hope your sister recovers quickly.
I need to reply to this post too Sandra as Iβm still so disappointed for your sister. π₯Ί I hope sheβs feeling better today. Well done again on your great run! π
well done π I donβt fancy running on cobbles, although come to think about it, I have run along part of a cobbled beach before!! Hope your sister improves quickly- how disappointing.
