No prizes for guessing the star attraction of this weekβs pompoms calls! Itβs the β¨ London Marathon β¨ - tcslondonmarathon.com/ - on Sunday 23rd April.
So get your sparkliest virtual (or real) pompoms ready to cheer on these fabulous HU runners for their capital day out:
πββοΈ Β Β Β Β Realfoodieclub , going for marathon distance for the first time
πββοΈ Β Β Β Β CandyCool , for whom this will be a first live marathon event.
Another edit: An exhausted carrier pigeon has just mentioned that Β Nikasa777 is also running the LM!
Have an amazing day, soak up the atmosphere of this iconic race, and donβt forget to let us know how you get on!
If youβre also taking part in a race this weekend (doesnβt have to be the London Marathon!) and would like a pompom cheer, please respond to this thread with all the info and weβll add you to the list!
Editing to add: just been informed that we need extra pompoms, please, for Β Β Tabbles , who's taking part in a trail race tomorrow, Saturday 22nd April. It's the 13km, 401m elevation gain mid-distance option of the Maverick Adidas Terrex Original Mendips 2023: maverick-race.com/products/... Enjoy those hills!
(Weird coincidence - I did an almost identical run in the forest this morning. )

Hi, I havenβt been on the page much recently, due to βstuffβ getting in the way including training. I will be running London on Sunday! πββοΈ
Thatβll be a fantastic day out. Lifetime memories for sure. Enjoy it as much as possible and the best of luck to you Realfoodieclub , CandyCool , Tabbles and Nikasa777 π
Cheering you all on Realfoodieclub, CandyCool, Tabbles and Nikasa777. For the 3 of you running LM it will be an amazing experience. Look out for the cameras as you run over Tower Bridge.
Completed in around 1:22. Found this harder than my half marathons. I didn't really appreciate how uneven the trails would be. The hills were challenging I ended up walking around 20 minute.
Last flat part was really muddy with puddles that you had to go through.
