It may be cold wet and windy, but we'd like you to shake off your pompoms again and send some cheer to our brave VRBs this week!

⭐️ On Saturday we have  Hedgehogs123 who will be running the Lincoln 10K Race for Life 😍 ; such a great cause to run for. Hopefully that's an early enough start to miss the worst of the weather, but with laps of the showground at least you'll get to benefit from as much tailwind as you suffer headwind!

⭐️ Then on Wednesday we have Dendev75 who will be running the Birkenhead Park 5 😍 ; bonus fact, this 140 acre park, opened in 1847 it is generally acknowledged as the first publicly funded civic park in the world! Hopefully the weather may be a little calmer by Wednesday 🤞wirralathleticclub.co.uk/bi...

Actually it was really hot but it was a head on wind. all the way round. Watch didn't quite measure 10km but the course check said it was. I did a good time though, under 54mins! ☺️

Well although the course was measured as exactly 10km, my garmin only clocked 9.63 with my time of 52.47, so not bad considering the wind was relentless! I had hydrated well, but my legs after the first 5km were so heavy and I just couldn't work out why. It was also hotter that I thought it would be, which resulted in me having far too any layers. Going to do a little write up later with a pic 😀

Yep thinks it very flat. Not sure it will be very scenic either as it's running round the showground, but all for a good cause!

Cold, wet and windy? My pompoms have been warming through in the garden especially for you  Hedgehogs123 . As it's currently 38.9°C out there they should be suitably toasty now, happy running!

And ETA Dendev75 - will wave pompoms on Wednesday, though can't guarantee the temperature!

Yep, it's certainly no where near those temperatures today, rain and wind all day. Showers and wind expected tomm, so could be a soggy run!! I think it's all grass, so atleast it should be kinder on my feet. 🤞. BTW, got my appt at the Theraplate clinic on 31, so will let you know how it goes!
