I woke up to Jo’s post.Spring forward , etc ., etc ., etc and keep trying.Wow.
I have just got round very slowly my first 5k for 2 months. So pleased with that achievement.
Behind the running is perhaps the biggest challenge of my life.
Suffice to say when a loved ones health challenges become overwhelming and you have to step up and prevent two repossessions and restore a safe haven to allow them to find the coping tools to take responsibility going forward. This takes priority to running but it does screw up any running plans for a very considerable time.In this case perhaps two years.God willing I am half way there.
Never give up running.I did not find it until 75 and I have got big plans for my 80th when this gets fixed.

I hope those health challenges and two repossessions have been restored.Congratulations to you Tbae on completing your first 5k in two months, well done 😀 🏃🏾, good luck for your future runs, as you say, "never give up "
Actually today I had to give up at Dumbarton on my way to Helensburgh, I was hoping to walk along the prom where I graduated from C25K nearly 4 years ago, however, there were technical issues with the electrical rail system and no trains were going beyond Dumbarton, I just got the first train back and I'll try again to go to Helensburgh in two weeks time.
I will remember that C25K graduation run for the rest of my life, just a reminder that when I was around half way on my graduation run, I turned back, there was this man dressed in Campaign for Nucular Disarmament gear, he shouted at me "Gan an yoursel" which in English means, your doing well, I thanked him and carried on with my run.
What strength you have Tbae to be a rock and take on responsibility for your loved ones. I'm very sorry to hear these difficulties have befallen someone close to you, and your life has gone on hold somewhat for a while. I saw your run on Strava and am pleased that it brought you pleasure and a sense of achievement.
Running waits, we have the tools. We just need a bit of personal time.
Keep the faith, your quote above in the picture is brilliant.
Thanks Jan.How long have you got.Get this property in London sold and then off to Scotland to sort out things there.Count our blessings Jan.👩❤️👨💪🙏👏👏❤️
Huge well done to your my friend...The number of times our challenges halt us, matter little, as long as every time it happens, we keep going on one time longer.5K again in 2 months.. it took me 9 !!!
Also, just realised that the quotation in your post reflects the words I used in my Catch-Up Corner post last week.
Love it Floss, keep going on one time longer.❤️With all the stress an anxiety I had sciatica for weeks.Thankfully it disappeared. So last Friday I decided I will just go and do a mile.On Sunday I just went and did three miles. Now that’s the way to go Floss. 5k in half a week.🤞🙈😂👩❤️👨💪🙏❤️
I’m so sorry to hear about everything that’s going on at the moment Tbae but I hope that whatever running you manage to do brings you some peace of mind. And you’ve just managed a 5km which is a great start! Sending you very best wishes 🤗
Hello Tbae 👋 it’s always lovely to see you here. But I’m so sorry you’ve been having a few life challenges.
I wish you strength to cope with what is going on and many more happy running moments. Reaching 5K again is such a satisfying and welcome achievement. It really is a magic number! Well done x
Aw bless you Bob, you've had more than your fair share of difficulties in the last couple of years 💖 hope everything comes right for you all very soon 👍🏻
Awww Tbae. Whilst it’s lovely to see you back running and posting, it does sound like you’ve had a wretched time of late. I hope things turn around for you and your family, and you can enjoy running for what it is. We’ll all be here to wish you well whenever you feel like posting. ❤️
