I have not posted for such a very long time and I have not kept up with what has been happening on the running forums.
When I looked at the forum title and thought about how much the folks/forums have done for me , the title changes to the above.
Never be surprised by the enormity of the challenges that life and family may present.Running is living and this forum is a life support.
I am hanging in there and trying to keep ticking over with my running.I still have things in running I want to experience.Plans have been on hold for many months and could be months more.
Just keep on keeping on until stuff gets fixed and normal routines restored I guess.
I count my blessings in finding running and the forums four years ago and for sure it has given me the strength to cope.Indeed ,in my case , just knowing the forum exists and it is there has been enough while coping with other stuff.
Wishing everyone on here and the other forums all the best with your running and your running plans.
Lovely to hear from you again Tbae, I like that quote about 'Age and enjoying the world', this is indeed an excellent forum, and nice to know that you also think it's 'life support'
It was 4 years since you and I started running and reporting on the forum, remember I began C25K with run 1 of week 1 on the 18th April 2018 and I graduated on the 18th June running along the seafront at Helensburgh on that day.
I am so happy that you are still running a little bit, for me, I have now got a 25 T-shirt for running 25 parkruns, last Saturday I ran my 34th Parkrun at Dunfermline, I have also run what they call (not) parkruns, I have run 85 of them, the 85th was yesterday.
Wishing you and your family all the best, especially you with your runs
Tbae! Hi! I really hope you are well, I am glad you have come back to the forum. I have just returned myself. The support on here is phenomenal. Whatever you do, keep running. It keeps me afloat at the darkest times, as Iβm sure it does for many. In it together π
How lovely to hear from you again Tbae. It sounds as if you have a lot on at the minute, but rest assured youβre always missed and running (and the forum) will always be waiting for you.
We can only do what we can do and if all else fails, then a little jogette could make magic β¨ π₯°
You are an inspiration Decker.πI have been reading all about your plans and all you have been doing for your folks also.Yes Decker cannot wait to get back to building distance.πββοΈππͺππ«β‘οΈππ
Great Quote Tbae like yourself not posted for a while as but read and enjoy the posts as I continue to run 3times a week giving me headspace and so much more hidden health benefits and a freedom to just get out there and run- no matter how slow I am some days. Keep hanging in there , brighter a warmer days to come. πβοΈ
Hi Jo, Sure is Jo.Letβs say without my short running journey the roller coaster would have appeared even more extreme.I am impressed with the distribution of your 168 hours in your week.Wow and I am exhausted.ππWishing you everything good.πββοΈππͺπβ€οΈπ«β‘οΈ
Such lovely words Tbae, gave me goosebumps. I totally agree with you that knowing this support is there with the magic thread holding us all together, even when we can't get out and run ourselves we are still part of this lovely running community. My family reason is a nice one, my new grandson is taking up nearly all my spare time (luckily we live near my daughter who is at home and enjoying our company). Family life must always comes first, knowing running and this forum is there when we get the time is priceless.
I always look for you on Strava and wish you all the very best.β€
Thank you Jan.πYes a wonderful blessing Jan on such a special person.β‘οΈThank you and I will always look out for you also.β‘οΈGod willing and when all is sorted I will share it with you.I wish you everything Jan as you always say βkeep on keeping onβ πββοΈππͺπβ€οΈπ«β‘οΈ
I havenβt been on here for a long time and have started smoking again and not running , just walked out of a job yesterday due to awful management and lack of respect and your post inspired me to comment ; I donβt know what to say really except , well, huge respect to you and thank you π
Cling to running and our support forums Tracytrace. One foot in front of the other and enjoy. All best wishes to you.πββοΈππͺπβ€οΈπ«β‘οΈ
Thank you so much for your post tbae. We joined the forum at roughly the same time, although I've had to restart recently after a long time on the IC. I feel so much gratitude for this wonderful place whether I'm posting or not, running or not, the humour and kindness are so supportive and sustaining. You've put it all into rather wonderful wordsβΊοΈ
Yes we did gog., I remember.I hope your restart is going well.Thank you for your wonderful words gog. I have complete empathy with your third sentence. Thank you. Every good wish to you.πββοΈππͺπβ€οΈπ«β‘οΈ
Thank you TC. You have just made me reaffirm that I am never stopping running and never breaking the magic thread that connects us to this lovely running community.Every good wish to you .πββοΈππͺπβ€οΈπ«β‘οΈ
Well done Tbae another lovely post. The forum is there to support you whenever you need it, but you have been part of that and your time, grace and generosity has given a lot for many others too!
Thank you for your very kind words Dave.I have long admired you on the forum for those qualities and much more.I can never forget your breathing advice to me and still think of you and your advice when on my runs.As a novice I was going off pursuing relatively complicated matters. When all the time breathing does not need to be elegant.Get it into your lungs the most natural way ,but be sure and get it there. One foot in front of the other on the other hand can be elegant for some.Every good wish to you with your running plans.
Welcome home Tbae. People here are wonderful whether our issues are running, life or both. Some things canβt be fixed quickly and sometimes not at all, but we find a way of living with them; running and running people play a big part in that for me. All we can do is hang in there.
Thank you BC66 for your reply.Your story will give me a heads up on how to hang in there . Atb to you Beachcomber66 πββοΈππͺππ‘π«β‘οΈ
How wonderful to hear from you Tbae . Keep running and keep checking in with us to tell us how youβre getting on. We all want to hear from you. πππͺπ₯°
