Ooh last few 10Ks over the holiday were slow plods just getting it done, was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to get my mojo back ๐
But been eating and hydrating well this past week and today's run just proves again how important it is!!!
Felt a much better pace easier.. still had to work really hard to keep it up and when I finished huffing and puffing two elderly ladies asked if I was alright ๐คฃ
Finished just a minute slower than my 10K PB but 6 minutes faster than Monday's run ๐๐โโ๏ธ
So really happy with that โบ๏ธ
On with the new year, and some new goals I'm still deciding on..
There's a new challenge on my Garmin to run 300K in three months ...1200 in the year ๐
I think I could challenge myself to.. ๐
I think I'd like to aim for a metric Marathon by end of the first stage ending 31st March...๐คฃ
But not going to put too much pressure on myself.. ( be kind to myself)๐
I have a few medical procedures coming up which will take some working around.. but feeling positive about my running year ahead ๐โโ๏ธ๐ช
Happy New Running Year everyone ๐๐โโ๏ธ๐

Happy running New Year to you Caroline, you have great ambitions for running this year, good run for you this morning, of course you were OK after your run, those ladies were only being kind regarding your huffing and puffing at the end of your run
As for me, this morning I ran my first 5K of 2022, around the park near to where I live, there were a few icy patches so I didn't go too fast, that was my 82nd not parkrun, time 37:07, I don't intend to run any more than 5K until Spring then I will build up to 10K, I have entered for a second time The London Vitality Virtual 10,000 which I will run on Wednesday 4th May, if you wish you could run that as well, enjoy the rest of the day. ๐ ๐๐พ ๐
Thanks Nowster, I did read your post yesterday.. just didn't get round to replying ๐ฎRED January sounds tough, there's no way I could run every day! But good on you! What a challenge ๐ no definitely no challenging distances till you're ready.. wishing you all the best.. go Nowster ๐
