Decide to get a little headspace before the mayhem of today. Just a 5km run on my usual weekday route. First run since the covid booster, everything hurt!
Was back for 6am so didn’t miss the kids destroying wrapping paper 😀

I wish! Had been up on and off with one of the kids since 3am - probably a story repeated in many households.
Got them to promise to stay in bed until 6am, Garmin logged the start as 05:19 🥱
I usually try and get out midweek before 6, so it wasn’t too much earlier than normal.
My mother ordered that we didn’t set foot out of our bedrooms til 8.00 am at least. She’d barricade the sitting room door so we couldn’t get in to find out if Santa had been 😁. We had pillow case stockings at the end of our beds to keep us occupied. Stalling tactics 🙂. My dad used to give us clearance to descend once he’d taken ma a tray of tea. He used to wear her dressing gown for the occasion - much to our amusement He was at least a foot taller than her 😀. Happy days 🙂
😁. Well done. A head-clearing run to enable you to better take on the travails of Christmas Day 🙂. I didn’t manage it as I was on cooking duty 😏Today too. A woman’s work ….. we’re at it again on 28th and 31st with birthdays. I’m babysitting a dog four four days as well from NYD so it’s going to be non-stop. My husband bought me snow boots, and my son gifted me a dog walking hand torch, head-torch and even a light for the dog’s collar. They like me out the house 😁
