Itβs been a while since I last posted and I notice that the less I post, the less I feel involved , obviously! And therefore the less I feel quite so motivated. So here I am again! π
Was determined to beat the heat today, so off I set early, a nice 10 degrees, and beautiful blue skies. There were lots of little birds fluttering in and out of hedgerows, the woods were nice and cool, and I waved to all the Mrs Sheep and their lambs. I went past a local golf course and the groundsmen were already up and at it manicuring it to perfection. Thatβs dedication!
My last four or so runs Iβve not really been feeling it, rather just going through the motions, but today I felt a bit more like the old me. Hurrah! Just over 8k, stretches, shower, and coffee. Now Iβm waiting for my porridge to do its thing.
Well done that looks lovely! Great you were out so early, I love that post run breakfast ! Usually I'm an evening runner. I'm the same not posting much and losing motivation . Our club has a 5mile trail run tonight and I'm hoping to go along and get some mojo back
Sometimes all the runs feel the same don't they? Nothing of note. Just more of the same great stuff! But isn't that part of the beauty of running - we keep coming back to it regardless, there must be something good in each and every run π
Tee hee a bit like Homer Simpson doing the same thing over and over π€£. I did another run doh! But yes, there is definitely something good in all of them π.
That breakfast sounds delicious! I really need to improve my food π. Yes, you are so right, sometimes my posts can sound very samey and I donβt want to bore folk to tears π€£. Am assuming you are getting out there too and having some good runs I hope! Ah of course you are! π
Yeah still out there.. πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈWill need to be up super early if I've to keep to my scheduled run tomorrow, going to be hot hot hot π₯π
Itβs definitely worth stumbling around like a zombie half awake and just hoping your sports bra isnβt on your head and your t-shirt round your ankles π€£. Thank you!
Thank you Ian! I did feel smug when I saw people coming back from a lunchtime run at work looking VERY red π₯΅. Have tried running at lunch from work and it is an unbelievable faff. I donβt have much time, so I sort of stretch under my desk afterwards π€£.
Thank you! Yes indeed, itβs funny really. This community is so motivating, so when I take a step back for whatever reason, I do notice it mojo wise π.
I absolutely agree about posting and feeling involved Frenc. Much as I love running for what it is, if I had no one to tell (my family glaze over!), it wouldnβt be nearly as much fun. π Even my PR buddy daughter doesnβt go on about it like it do. π
What a perfect run you had yesterday. Being out early is the best isnβt it (she said, having not been out early for ages π).
Lol yes my other half feigns interest but draws the line when I force him to look at my routes on the laptop, me telling him thatβs where I saw a squirrel or some such! Ah you canβt beat an early run, hopefully youβll get one in soon! πππ
