Have only today graduated from ju-ju-'s 10k plan and must be the adrenaline or still feeling superhuman after achieving first 10k run today that I came over for a little peek. Will be consolidating my 10k runs for a few weeks but then may look at training plans for HM. Not sure if I will or not yet as really enjoyed the 10k distance but will look at extending distance as part of the consolidation phase.
Just one question is it ok to do more than one 10k a week as a reasonably new runner? Thanks for any advice and info,
Hope it is ok to be here and learn, listen and participate with my limited experience.
Look forward to getting to know everyone.

Hello! And a splendiferous, howdie-doodie, marshmallowy welcome to the forum!!!!
I think it's fine to do a couple of 10s in a week, you might find it a bit tiring so just take it easy at first, OK? Two 10ks will of course get you almost to half marathon distance 😉
Looking forward to hearing more from you on here!!
Thank you for such a lovely wlecome!! I know I'm a new runner so will consolidate for awhile before maybe starting a structured plan. I am sure with all the knowledge and experience from you and this forum I'll be in good hands. Thanks roseabi
Thanks misswobble. I'm not planning on do 2x 10k weekly straight away just wanting to know once I consolidate over the next 2-3 weeks then could I consider this.
Hi Lori! And congrats again!! 🙌🏼 I did 2 weeks of 1 x 10Km per week. I took 2/3 days rest between mine on the second week. Then I did 2 x 10Km runs in 3 days! Felt fine but left it 2 days before doing a shorter 5k. I did 27.5km in one week!!!!
Have to say I do feel stronger but think it’s too soon to do 2 a week unless they are either side of the week with ‘rest days’ between.
I think it’s an individual choice depending on your fitness and strength. 😊
Thanks Rip, yes as I just said to misswobble, not intending to do 2x 10k weekly straight away but would like to look at this once I've consolidated, similar to what you have suggested.
Yay, you are so very welcome here, and well done... and yes I’d say it’s ok, build up gradually and think about your next goal. The world is your oyster...
Thanks ju-ju-. I think my goal apart from keeping up with at least weekly 10ks then x2 weekly is to improve my speed over 5k. Reading and looking at a more structured way as opposed to my hit and miss attempts.
