My 5k run was the outward trek of my favourite 10k loop, I didn't want to do too much too soon, so I had a nice 5k meander back, walking, with the occasional run for 90s thrown in, like baby snail fartleks.
Walked past one of the local churches, which has bits from the 12th century!
All in all 10.5k logged for Jadotville today

It's going as well as can be expected A fall and landing on the OTHER knee put a kink in the works, but I am persevering.
I am "on track", some of it has been jeffing where I would have liked to have been running, but this "only running" 5K is a very good sign for me. I'll be back out there tonight doing another 5K and a longer run (maybe with a bit of jeffing but I hope not) on Sunday.
I find it extraordinary being able to say ' only 5k' when a short while ago I couldn't run 90 seconds without difficulty! It's so useful to me to look back at where I've come from when I'm daunted by what's ahead...your attitude sounds great and I'm sure it's attitude that gets us where we want to be. Good luck
I know right - 5K used to sound unachievable - I got up to 18k before injury though, so 5K doesn't sound enough yet to get where I want to be at the beginning of September
My Dad is Irish, which basically means that all my family is except my mum as she is an only child and Dad has the stereotypical big Irish family - mostly in Dublin still. I'm happy to be able to contribute in a small way, and I shared the link with a few other people outside of here - hopefully they can contribute something too.
