I banged my toe off a kitchen chair yesterday before my big 14km run. I then worked my 12 hr night shift and then realised why my foot felt sore! I had an X-ray and it’s not broken but I was advised to rest for 10day- 2 weeks!! Ahhhhhhh🙁🙁🙁

Me too! Toes 2 and 4 on my left foot currently have blackened toenails.

O dear, sorry about your toe Daroo, especially just before you ran your big 14K run, I suppose it could have been worse, imagine that had happened just before your graduation run of C25K, I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you can run that 14K as soon as your toe has healed

Ta, I did the 14k after bashing it. I didn’t feel a great deal of pain at the time. I’ll give myself a break this week and aim for the 15km in a couple of sundays time. 😉

As a daft youth I damaged little toes on a few occasions; I probably broke bones! In those days I just taped the injured toe to the adjoining one and carried on. Probably be frowned upon now!

Nope that’s the same advice I was given.. I’m just so cross with myself!!

I dropped a play pen onto my sore achilles the other day..... bit of KT applied according to YouTube instructions fixed it. The question “should I run with this?” is the one which I have always found difficult. Mostly I just try a run and see how it feels these days.

I’ll rest this week and then try a 5K next week:)

Ouch...and how frustrating!Oh well, doctors orders, hope it heals quickly and you're back out soon 👍

Nice nail polish by the way, it's been years since I bothered 🤷‍♀️

Ta !! I’m a nurse so never paint my fingernails but like my toes done 😉

I twisted my little toe around the corner of a box. I didn't get it checked and I did run on it. It was sore for weeks, months to be honest. I suspect it was broken and I never gave it chance to heal. Or maybe it was sore just because I kept running on it! Two weeks isn't long. If we call one of those weeks a cut back week it's almost part of your plan! Don't be too frustrated... give it as long as you can to heal.

So, you can’t work presumably? Poor you. Lots of ice and Arnica and I reckon you’ll be good to go in a week....🤞

I know! But sure there’s nowhere to go and nothing to do anyway 😵😉 So it’s easier to rest my foot 🦶 😵

Hmmm. I think you’ve done well with the toe colour, it matches your nails nicely. But the other bit of bruise, on your foot, that doesn’t go with the colour scheme at all. 😉

It’s gone a darker shade today so it kind of compliments the lilac toes 😉 But I bought a new light blue nail varnish this evening so I’ll post a new pic on here 🤪🤪
