Congratulations on completing and running 20 miles this morning, I am sure you are ready for that marathon on the 5th April.

Wow!! Go you!! I am sat here dreading going out to to run 2 lots of 8 minutes this morning. Went to bed fine but I’ve woken up sneezing and with a tight chest this morning... really struggling to take a decent deep breath. I’m seriously thinking about having a second rest day and going out there tomorrow when I feel more perky. 🤞

Take the extra rest day LL. I speak from bitter experience yesterday having had the most unenjoyable parkrun ever. My whole body was saying don’t. I did. I shouldn’t have! And I recommend First Defence if you haven’t tried it already. Nips these things in the bud (usually). 🤞🤞

Oh I’ll try that, CC. My daughter wants to go to the supermarket in a mo so I’ll see if I can spot some there

Well done! 😃👍💪. 20 miles is tough in training. Hopefully it will feel easier on the day with all the goings-on to watch and new views, race day adrenaline etc 🙂

I can remember on my first marathon not really noticing distance covered until 14 k and then when I looked again I’d done 22 k. The time just seemed to pass without my noticing. That has to be a good thing 🙂👍.

very impressed - and still struggling to get to that same point. Not helped by snow here over the weekend so chickened out and hit the treadmill instead

Well done Paul. I am impressed. I am working my way through my plan and don't get to 20 miles for a month or so yet. Wonderful to know someone has gone before me and survived! How are you doing this morning?

I should not be on 20miles for another 5weeks but I just wanted to see if it was doable and yes it is 26 should be easy 20miles was good but I have had realy bad calf pain got to 8miles and bang it hurt but a little walk and of again it took me about 35mins longer with the bad leg so 4hours is average for 20miles if the leg was ok I think I could have done another 6miles so when you get to the 20miles you will be surprised how easy it really is and good luck
