Hi gang, I was really inspired by everyone doing the HUHM last weekend and as it is such a wonderfully sunny day today, I decided to build on my 10mile distance and see how I would get on trying to get to HM distance.
The first 5k were fairly easy but I felt I was going too fast to last. I managed to reign it in and by 11k was feeling pretty confident. I had a couple of jelly babies and water and cracked on! I only really started flagging the last km and even then, I knew I was doing well and could carry and and so I did. I absolutely smashed it!!
Congratulations on your first Half Marathon, excellent time as well, you will soon see the magic words HALF MARATHON next to your username, once again congratulations π π ππΎ π
Wow! Congratulations. That's a phenomenal first HM. I have given you a new badge for your hard work. The last kilometre is always going to be tough - but it's also always going to be possible, you know you're nearly there! Rest those jelly legs and celebrate well!!!
Amazing! Congratulations! So happy you had a great first HM experience. Yes our body is capable of so much with the right training and time. Hope you are well rested and recovered now πππππΌ
