After being restricted to very local runs which has meant a lot of hills and inclines I got back on the flat this week. 6k the other day and then today I set off on my target of 16k for my long run. TBH it seemed easy at the start, especially after the hills of the last 3 weeks but I think I may have gone too fast. It was an easy pace but probably, after the hills, a bit too quick. I knew when I got to 10k I may be in a bit of trouble so I forced myself to slow. Made it to the end but was knackered and am now stiffer than I have been for a long time with a bit of a lump on my instep. I have some new shoes on the way so hopefully they will be here in time for the HM.
I have to say when I last did 15k I thought to myself, yep 6 on top of that no probs, not so confident today but lets see how I feel after next week.
Treated myself to a bacon peynirli tost after!
Can I get my 10 mile badge now please

Well done - great distance! If it’s any consolation, I thought the same after my 10 miler last weekend (and I’ve run HM several times!🙂🤷♀️) But if your putting in the miles, I reckon you’ll be just fine! Good luck.🙂
