20 miler training

Today was our long run day so the alarm was set for 0500hrs so I could have time for porridge and coffee before we headed out.

The first 10 miles was a run to parkrun and I have to say it felt like a LONG way compared to when I drive it each week. Then we had time for a stretch before running the last 3.1 miles which I did in an official time of 38:13 so I am well happy with that.

This run also marks my first half marathon distance although over the coming weeks I am going to cover a few of these I am super proud that my first was done in 2hrs 44 :)

Happy running folks and stay safe

This one will always be important but it’s 14 miles next week so I get to do it again :)

Congratulations and well done on your first HM! And especially for getting up at 5am 😳 I woke up at that time and it was pitch black outside but I was able to go back to sleep 🙂

Happy running to you too 🏃‍♀️🏃🙂

I wish I could run on an empty stomach and have a little more sleep but I need fuel :)

Thank you, I am chuffed with both the distance and my PR time considering how far I ran. The great thing is I felt as though I had a reserve in the tank.... bring on next weeks training :)
