Excellent of course!!! We achieved an amazing 7% (142km) of our 2020 km target on what was a dull, wet, wild Monday, full of the blues from the weekend news for many of usπ§π. I was very glad of a purpose yesterday and absolutely appreciated the fresh air despite the weather. Well done everyone!!!
I'm loving the individual 2020s - Dexy's shoes were particularly creative π
With the challenge spread over ten days we're looking for around 10% a day, so it might be helpful if you could spread the word and interest a friend into donating a few hard earned kilometres as we head to the end of the year - we don't want to be the select group who hit 2020 km only to start 2021 on the IC π
My mission today is 'good riddance 2020'. What's yours?
Better colours to follow - I don't find anything inspiring about a wishy washy orange (other than the desire to make that slice a lot smaller ... oh? .... π€)
Hi Linda, itβs another 6km from me today. This is my last day at work until new year so I should be able to get more distance in daily from tomorrow onwards!ππ€
Morning Linda, you're going to have your work cut out keeping up with this challenge! ππ7km walk on the 21st for me...just off for my run now so will check in again tomorrow x
You can post your run on this post if you like and then it will be included in the totals I post in the morning. Keeping up may prove a challenge in it's own right π
Hi, I havenβt done anything like a HM yet but am now thinking about it so I would like to add my 5K from this morning if thatβs ok π€ππββοΈ
It's definitely OK. Welcome! No requirement to have run any particular distance for this challengen nor to be part of this forum - the vast majority of members had never run 10 miles let alone a HM when they joined this forum π
Excellent! Look forward to seeing what you came up with π
Hi Linda, like your mission, mine for today keep moving and then have a nap. Enlisted Mr Jorge for walk today so thatβs 2 x 5.9k for us & for yesterday I have a 5.6k run to add ππ€Ά
Hello linda9389 , this afternoon (22nd December) I did my longest-ever run to date, 22.71 km, and would like to contribute it to this worthy cause!
I had a plan to take a photo of a roadsign along the way that I thought could be neatly doctored into both 2020 and 2021, but when I got there I realised that the numbers were super-faded and in any case it was way too high for me to reach!! Will see if I can think of something else.
Have you tried the distance correct feature in the desk top version of strava? It doesn't fix the watch data obviously but it often fixes strava quite intelligently (and you can always reverse it if you don't like what it says!)
Thanks for the intro to this feature - I just found another 2k on my earlier trail run last week - cant be added here but it's nice to know I can correct for my failing memory!
I use it a lot! I have auto pause set on my watch because I'm so forgetful, but it always takes a while to cotton on to the fact I'm moving again; the Strava correction usually picks that up as it's only a small distance. Obviously if it's off for a while Strava may not get the right route between the two points it has, but it's likely to be better than nothing!
They can both be added I reckon!!! No minimum distance required, this is an all-inclusive challenge - throw whatever you've got into the communal pot and let's see if we can smash 2020km or even 2020 miles between us before the end of the year π
2.18km walk today in torrential rain to get post from top of drive! Loads of flooding but struggling to find 20's! Now if I can find how to add photos I'll show you my find but until then you'll have to look on strava!
Well done - it's pretty foul isn't it! Unfortunately you can't add photos to comments. You will need to write a post to show us your photos on HU - we'd love to see them if you get chanceπ
Hi Linda could you please add another 10km. I had a lovely walk with my 8 year old today. Will his 10km count to the total as he also did a 7.6 km run/walk yesterday. Thanks
