Hi everyone, I just came across this lovely short doc on Ruby Muir, a young though remarkably mature and humble trail runner from New Zealand. Her running style is beautiful as well. It’s worth a watch if you have 10 minutes to spare:
Just Keep Running: Hi everyone, I just... - Fun Beyond 10K & ...
Just Keep Running
Lovely 😌. To run and just be
Lovely place to be a runner. A very calming film. Enjoyed it 👍
My niece aged 14 spent a year in school by the sea, mountains and forest of South Island. A far cry from home She learned a lot about their love of all things outdoors, and wants to return at some point now she’s teaching PE at home They taught her how to play rugby and much else besides 🙂
I’m sure your niece will look back fondly at her time there. NZ is one of those places I’ve always dreamt of going to. Imagine running there!
I did my middle weeks of C25K while touring New Zealand. It was my second go at the program after a long injury break. I’d decided never to travel without running shoes. I never have since.
Another great documentary you’ve shared. She runs as beautiful as the surroundings she runs in. To be so carefree in your form and spirit - something I could definitely strive for.
What a wonderful film, and such a mature outlook for someone who certainly appears very young. Watching how she so confidently runs across the rocky beaches and the mountain trails is amazing. Beautiful.
Class Decker that's so worth a view 👍👍 that young lady seems to glide across such a beautiful running location, and how sure footed is she....WOW good sharing 🙂
How brilliant is she. They way she handles running over those rocks and other uneven surface. Amazing 👏👏💪
I'm pretty sure I look like that too when I'm running ... obviously out in the countryside I mean; I have to admit my style tends to be thrown in some environments though - particularly when running past reflective surfaces such as shop windows!!! Oh to have even a tenth of her style.
Another great link 👍 what a location to have on your doorstep! Definitely a product of her outside the norm upbringing, in all the best ways.
It's so easy to slip over the unhealthy line especially after traumatic events. My running turned to almost self punishment in 2018 after dealing with my mother's and my friend's deaths.
Also renewed my interest in Vibram trail shoes 👍🏻🤣
I was amazed to see her bounding along in those Vibrams. She makes it look so easy!
It was good to see someone in her position addressing that darker obsessive side of long distance running. There definitely is a line that we don’t always see clearly under duress in the moment.
That definitely chimed with my experience. She's very frank about it isn't she! And mature. It's a good job that she and her boyfriend both enjoy trail running, but I liked what she said near the end about letting herself off the hook because she's young 😊😊😊
👍😃👍 like anyone who is extremely good at what they do, Ruby makes it look so easy to bounce along those trails and up mountains.
🎄🐱 Xmas Katnap 🐱🎄
Looks absolutely stunning. She makes it look so easy! I couldn’t believe how fast she was over that rocky uphill bit 😭
My dad lived in NZ for a while when he was a young man and we have relatives there so I grew up with lots of photos and tales of the country. It really is a magical place. I’ve never been myself .....yet 🙂
Ahh that scenery! I wish I was brave enough to run on rocks the way she does 😊😊😊
