What was meant to be an easy 4K run turned out to be quite hilly towards the end!

Freestyled my route today, just fancied a change - first 2K was relatively flat with some downhills, but then the last 2K was mostly uphill! It was hardwork but I felt great when I had finished, all good training! ๐Ÿ˜€

Definitely good training RC! I bet it was pretty warm running up those hills too. ๐Ÿฅต

Thank you! Yes was quite hot actually, but not looking forward when it's going to be 30+ degrees this week! Will have to get out even earlier to get my training in to avoid the heat! ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต

Me too. Iโ€™m due to do 10k tomorrow, so Iโ€™ll need to go out at the crack of dawn. ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต

It was great thanks RC, although it was very hot yesterday morning, even at 7am. Not as hot as today though - that wouldnโ€™t have been enjoyable! ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต

Good I'm glad. I went for a run this morning at half 6 at it was already 19 degrees! I didn't have a great run in that heat, just dragged myself through it hahaha ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿฅต

Yes, that's exactly what I said in my post about today's run! Those runs build endurance, physically and mentally! ๐Ÿ˜€

Thank you! Wasn't too bad, this morning was too hot though! :-)

You have to take on the hills both up and down, it's very satisfying when you conquer them.

You have good weather, lucky you.

Enjoy your day.

Can a physicist explain why, if running uphill is so tiring, are we not reenergised in equal measure running downhill? It seems to work for hybrid cars.

Yes that is a very good question. I wish we could do the same hahaha :-)
