No run for me today...

I think I'll skip today's run because I'm not feeling that well. Achey and I think I had a temperature yesterday. So I think it would be wise to rest. And I was just getting back into my routine as well! 😭

Right thing to do. You'll be back safer and stronger then. I'm hoping to run 10 miles after work today.

Haven't got round to looking at them yet due to being ill, but will have a look now that I'm feeling better! :-)

Very wise on not running or cycling if you are not feeling well, just have a nice relaxing afternoon reading posts, even replying to posts here on Healthunlocked.

Sorry for the late reply! When you messaged, I was not feeling great at all, but yesterday was the first day that I actually felt normal and even went for a walk! Thanks for asking! :-)

All is good! I'm running 4 to 5 times a week at the moment, which is great! I've never run so much! Ran a full marathon distance a couple of weeks ago, which took me totally by surprise. So as far as running goes, couldn't be better 😊 As far as teaching and running a business goes Aaaaaaggggghhhhhh! πŸ€”πŸ˜•πŸ˜Ÿβ˜ΉοΈπŸ˜³πŸ˜©πŸ˜

So glad your running is going so well and way to go on accidentally running a marathon distance, I love those moments! Yep I can relate, trying to teach my piano students can be a bit tricky at times! Hopefully things can go back to normal soon! :-)

I'm a vocal tutor and vocal therapist (not just singing) 90% of my pupils don't want online tuition as they feel their privacy is compromised at home or they can't express themselves with the neighbours listening 😒

ahhh that's cool, what sort of musical style to do teach/coach then? It's such a shame that your students don't want to continue during this time! I had two students do that too. My main instrument is cello and I have written a few choral pieces too and I have sung in a choir for the last 3 years until the virus messed everything up! :-(

Ah what a shame about the choir! I teach all styles - from classical to rap to screaming thashcore metal πŸ˜‚ The technique is the same for all, it's the application that's different πŸ˜‰

I have a few transgender students that want to either make their voice more feminine or masculine. A few public speakers. The age range is vast too - 11 year olds to 70's.

Wow sounds really interesting! I'm mainly trained in classical, not much else. I've been wanting singing lessons for years because I really enjoy it! :-)

There's never a dull moment in my teaching day 🀣

I was trained classically and love to sing classically, it keeps my technically in disciplined and in shape, but I love to let rip with old souls and R n B πŸ˜‚ My teacher used to dispair at my love of Janis Joplin 😭

I would urge anyone to have lessons, just for the confidence it gives you and helps you to believe in yourself and your ability. Singing is wonderful for healing and wellbeing πŸ€— I have a student with PTSD, who is making wonderful progress!

I hope you're singing and playing at home for pleasure? I sing everyday with my son, nothing serious, which is a huge pleasure and a giggle 😊
